Large portions, kind staff and rich flavours

This restaurant has an a la carte menu of rice and noodles for lunch and the famed BBQ skewers are only available after 6 p.m. The staff were super kind and still served me 10 minutes before closing time, even offering me a free bitter gourd dish. The lunch menu clearly labels which dishes contain milk or egg (note that most of the noodle dishes contain milk). I ordered a rice dish with the most savoury mushroom meat and vegetables. The bowl was huge and delicious.

Update: I tried the BBQ skewers and they are truly life-changing. Slathered in BBQ sauce, the mushrooms melted in my mouth, the eggplant was bursting with juice and the seitan and yuba were crispy and charred on the outside while juicy on the inside. You pick out the skewers you want from the refrigerated display case and they roast it for you to perfection.
