Serves meat, vegan options available. Local taverna with terrace, hosted by a family. Offers typical Greek and Crete dishes. Around 1/2 of the menu is vegetarian, of which most are vegan except ones with cheese or tzatziki. Staff will answer questions. Often crowded so reserve ahead. NOTE: Seasonal hours only. Open Mon-Sun 6:30pm-12:30am.

Absolutely recommended - Edit
They offer you many vegan choices. The waiter is very enthusiastic and eager to explain everything, very helpful. If we had more time, we would definitely come back to this lovely place.

Fresh, authentic and delicious veggie dishes - Edit
If you want a break from stuffed wine leaves and peppers but still fancy somethings authentic - this is where you have to go! I tried three smaller portions of their Daily Specials, all of which were either vegan to begin with or made vegan by omitting the cheese. The server was very helpful (and spoke German!) and the taverna is super cute! Highly recommend!

Amazing choice, flavours and service - Edit
Went there tonight, one vegan, one vegetarian and two omnis. Had booked ahead and asked if they do vegan food, the lady I spoke to was very reassuring that I needn't worry and they would have something for me.
Read moreAnyway, they recommend the meze sharing plates, between four of us we had nine plates
Garlic bread
Dolmades (ask for without tzatziki)
Beetroot
Fava bean spread
Stuffed mushrooms
Artichokes with potatoes, peas, carrots
Briam (roasted vegetables)
(Vegetarian) pepper stuffed with feta

We were totally stuffed after this, service was amazing explaining it all. Flavours were stunning.

Closed for the Season (winter) - Edit
It was closed when I arrived in early November, which was a major bummer because the reviews had me very excited! I ran into someone who worked there, and it seems they had recently closed for the season. I think this area is mainly open for tourists going to the beach during warm seasons. A few places were open in town, but it didn't look like any of them had many vegan options.

Excellent service, delicious food - Edit
Lovely atmosphere, with a nice garden at the back.
Read moreWe were surprised to find quite a few vegan options in the menu, but when we were ordering, (with the usual "with no cheese" and "there's no dairy there?" embarrassment) the waiter realised we were vegan and gave us a list of even more vegan options, among which some delicious mushrooms with spinach and vegan cheese!!!
We ended up ordering way too much food but it was too good not to finish it all. It was all simple traditional Greek food, nothing fancy, but really nice.
The courtesy and attentiveness of the waiter can't be praised enough. Overall it was a lovely experience.
Pros: lots of vegan options; excellent service;, great quality food; traditional Greek food;, affordable
Cons: not a vegan restaurant
