We’ve eaten at a number of Mildred’s across London and they are always worth returning to. We went for the chicken burgers which were both so tasty (we’ve had them before and had to order again)! Always reliably good tasty food.

Another fantastic food spot in London, perfect for a pre-show dinner, with friendly staff and a thriving atmosphere. The flavours and portions are great - starters, mains, and desserts. It can sometimes get a little busy and loud, but not overwhelmingly so. But despite the abundance of people, speed of service was good, with wonderful table service (water refilled frequently, which was very nice as the weather was rather warm at the time).
Read moreWe started by sharing harissa patatas bravas and chipotle chick+n tinga tacos (normally come as two, but they kindly offered to give us an extra because there were three of us), both of which were nicely spiced and the perfect start to the evening. For mains, we had the Chick+n Caesar Burger (this really was a bit of me - pickles, crispy onions, mayo, fake chicken AND a beautifully soft brioche bun, I mean wow), the Shiitake Peanut Laksa (quite spicy and fragrant in the best way), and the Shawarma Kebab (fun selection of flavours, working well both together and independently, even the leaves tasted great!).
And now dessert!! I had the warm cookie dough blondie and ooo was it good. The sponge itself was light and soft, and the abundance of toppings (cream, ice cream, and dark pouring chocolate), it was just so good. We also got the pistachio cheesecake which was super creamy (almost silky) with a perfectly nutty flavour, and the white chocolate tiramisu which perfectly blended coffee with sweetness in soft layers of deliciousness.
Basically, if you're in London, you should most definitely go here.

We loved the starters cauliflower cups and corn ribs. The mains of caesar salad and mushroom kebabs were tasty and generous portions. We really liked that there were dishes where vegetables were the star. Scrumptious desserts too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great place to eat as an American in the UK for the first time - Edit
Food was good! Not 5-stars, flavor was slightly subdued, not enough salt on the fries for me. Maybe its just because I'm from Chicago. Hahaha. Good vibe, queer friendly, and lots of options.

Had breakfast here midweek so lots of tables but I imagine it gets busy at the weekend so might need to book. It’s fully plant based so loads of options!
Read moreI had the croissant toastie (mushrooms, cheese & onion chutney) which was v tasty and my partner had the full breakfast which he said was one of the best he’s had. I also couldn’t resist the churro waffle which was a delicious sugar overload!! My partner had joked about it being his birthday and the waiter brought out a surprise little cake with candle for him after our breakfast which was a nice touch. The fresh juices and coffee were also good. Easy to see why it’s so popular, we’ll be back next trip to London.

Tried the arancini Rossi starter which was a flavour sensation, the mushroom and ale pot pie was delicious very rich filling! And the white chocolate mousse tiramisu dessert was the perfect round off to a phenomenal meal. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere inside, amazing to see a vegan restaurant so busy and full! I’ve been wanting to try it here for years and glad I’ve finally had the chance. I’ll be back!

Edit 2 - came back again December 2025 for their festive menu. Really tasty Christmas dinner and pudding! Also has breakfast again the next morning and got their £12.50 breakfast deal which was amazing value!

That was the only negative. Service was great! Food superb, many unique vegan dishes. Price on upper end, but acceptable.

Read moreThe mushroom shawarma was nice to look at - impressive presentation but not very tasty. Mushrooms were watery. Potatoes were bland and the lentil salad was indifferent. Way too much oil all over to compensate I guess for indifferent technique. I am certain Mildred’s can do better. I would normally not leave a review like this but it’s too important to vegans and vegan businesses that we all up our standards.

My spouse had the berries and cream pancakes, and I had the full English breakfast. So much food for portions, and absolutely delicious. If you’re vegan and visiting the UK, would definitely recommend checking this spot out. The juices were also delicious and the atmosphere is so cute.
