Great food, lovely staff. - Edit

We wondered past this lovely cafe while in Gent and the vegan food was great. The sandwiches were fresh and large, great soy hot chocolate and vegan pastries! Would definitely recommend!

Pros: Vegan pastries , Big portions, Friendly staff

Excellent - Edit

This is a great little cafe style place on a pleasant small shopping laneway just off Vrijdagmarkt square.

The sandwiches/broodjes are delicious. I had the "cheese" broodje which was very good, and had a taste of the champignon a la greque which was superb. The bread is very fresh and crunchy, in an artisanal baguette style.

The girl serving the food is very friendly and helpful, the decor is nice and relaxed.

Prices are very reasonable and the drink options were tasty and refreshing. If I was spending any length of time in Ghent, I would definitely come back here a few times.

Pros: Excellent food & drinks, Very reasonable prices, Good location, friendly staff

Best place in whole of Belgium - Edit

The hummus sandwiches are the best ever, the bread is so fresh. The coffee is perfect and the pastries look and taste amazing. It's also ridiculously cheap. $4.80 for a coffee and pastry. Love this place!

Pros: Top quality food, Cheap as chips , Friendly staff

Cons: Nothing!

must go - Edit

I was visiting Gent for one day and saw this new establishment in happy cow. They had only been opened for 3 days!! The lady was so nice, even though they had already closed. She even gave me free coffee and I tasted one of the vegan muffins, delicious!!! :)

A lovely place in the old town - Edit

I accidentally walked by and noticed the vegan sign, so happy I walked in. The staff was very nice and helpful, turns out it just recently opened, but the options are very nice. There's even gluten free food! I had the brownie and it was amazing, I'm sure I'll return there for more.

Pros: Gluten-free options both for savory and sweet food, Friendly staff, Great location

Cons: Not cheap, but not expensive either

Friendly staff, good coffee. - Edit

I went to Mie Vie for a breakfast on a Friday morning. We were served quickly and very friendly. The coffee was very good, just as the lentil spread sandwich I had with it: just enough of veggies to top of the spread. Trendy minimal interior with a lot of wood and plants. Cosy atmosphere. Adequate menu.

Pros: good coffee, good portions, very friendly
