High end tea house - Edit
Food portion is small, which is more of a tasting session than a filling meal. Dan Dan noodles is tasty with their sesame paste sauce. The truffle rice is bland. Pay for the nice ambience and Michelin brand.

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a Michelin star restaurant in another country but this was worth every penny! 😍

Beautiful - Edit
Beautiful setting, high end service and creative dishes. We did the tasting menu and enjoyed the variety of ways we were served local vegetables and tofu. As someone who lives in California, I thought this was a really good value for a Michelin star tasting menu! After eating a lot of street food the past few days, the freshness of this food was much appreciated.

Amazing place - Edit
We loved this place so much not only for the food but for the atmosphere. We had the tasting menu for lunch and it was delicious. The portions are small but filling. The afternoon tea was beautiful too. Very relaxing and wonderful. I really recommend the experience.
Read moreMake sure to request no dairy or eggs for vegan options. They can easily replace it for tasty vegan dishes.
For lunch, make sure to arrive at the restaurant before 13:45 which is when the kitchen stops taking orders.

Beautiful Hotel, Stunning Tea House — Food Needs More Flavor 🤷🏼♀️ - Edit
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and the property is absolutely beautiful. The design, ambience, and overall atmosphere feel luxurious and calming. The staff were also incredibly thoughtful—they surprised us with a gorgeous dessert tray featuring several vegan treats and fresh strawberries, which we really appreciated.
Read moreWe had dinner at this tea house, which has an beautiful decor and vibe. The presentation of every dish was stunning, but unfortunately the flavors didn’t match the visuals. Most dishes lacked seasoning and salt. Our favorite items were the truffle rice and the Dan Dan noodles, though we still had to add salt to both. The kung pao mushroom had potential too, but the numbing spice overpowered the dish—our mistake, as we forgot to ask them to omit it.
Overall, the hotel experience itself was wonderful, but the food at the tea house was more beautiful than flavorful. I would still recommend the property, but hopefully the restaurant improves its seasoning in the future.

Amazing vegan restaurant MICHELIN - Edit
Do not hesitate! The prices are very very low for the quality of food. We did a fixed menu for two people (no stress of deciding) and it was absolutely amazing!

Tastes good but not great - Edit
The restaurant is very nice, the food is delicious, but not extraordinary. Tea is super expensive and service is not great. If it’s expensive for you, I suggest not going, you won’t miss out on anything.

Visited here multiple times, it’s the thing I look forward to most when visiting Chengdu. Great dishes and use of ingredients and flavors. Great service and incredible price when comparing to other 1* restaurants around the world.

Elegant Chengdu tea house with amazing dishes. This place tops the bucket list for world travelers wanting an amazing vegetarian experience. Michelin Star. Not too pricey. Two can eat a wonderful meal for around $80.

Amazing Michelin food for a very reasonable price (45 euro for a tasting menu). I’m only sad I waited with going here to my last day. Otherwise I had surely gone twice.

Vegetarian Fine Dining - Edit
An enjoyable experience, and a pretty unique one given how few purely vegetarian Michelin star restaurants there are in the world.
Read moreAlthough there is a tasting menu costing 498 rmb for two, we decided to order a number of dishes from the a la carte menu so we could try a wider variety of dishes, and because they were actually very reasonably priced. For 4 of us we only spent around 700 rmb for 8-9 dishes, and had plenty to eat.
Service was excellent and the setting was very relaxed. We had no trouble at all getting a table last minute. In fact it was barely half full on a Saturday night.
The food was good but not superlative. For a Michelin meal it's great value but I'd say we ate better meals in China for less. It's definitely worth going though, just for the high end dining experience.
There is also afternoon tea available.
Pros: One of very few vegetarian Michelin restaurants , Affordable as a fine dining experience , Great setting
Cons: Good food but we had better for less

Unique and peaceful experience - Edit
Has a Michelin star. Work with a farm who provides the fresh seasonal ingredients. As you’d expect the dishes are quite creative, good service, and the food is tasty. This kind of experience is rare in China so it’s definitely something I would recommend. I went twice during my week-long Chengdu trip.
Read moreSet menu costs ~750 for 2 people, but I found it much better to order just the dishes I wanted and that added up to ~350 for 2. So I advise to not get the set menu.
Located in a big mall area but it’s a peaceful area surrounded by bamboo so you don’t feel the crowds much. Ambiance is nice, good music selection, service is rly good

Thoughtful veg food w/ excellent service ($$$) - Edit
So I’ve now been there twice during my stay in Chengdu, since it is relatively close to Chunxi Road metro and where I’m staying. It’s basically within a giant shopping mall (Taikoo Li), so maybe not the most interesting location, depending on what your into. That said the restaurant is at one seemingly less-trafficked end of the mall and the ambience and decor of the restaurant are beautiful. As other reviews mentioned, for China it is quite expensive. I ordered the prix fixe menu for 1 on my first visit; that, plus a pot of black tea (88RMB) was close to 300RMB. (They also had a prix fixe option for 2.) But, I’m on vacation and there were several courses. One of the hot dishes has what tasted like pretty big chunks of black truffle. The ingredients were really high quality and everything seemed thoughtfully made. The second time, I wasn’t so hungry, so I just ordered dumplings a la carte. For 32RMB you get two larger steamed dumplings, which in China may seem pretty extravagant. But on eating one order of each kind, it was pretty clear they were gourmet quality. Again, one of them used black truffles. In the US, I would expect to pay at least this much. 4 dumplings was enough for a light dinner. Not a great option for a quick, cheap meal, but if you want a chill, thoughtfully-prepared meal with plenty of time to enjoy several pots of tea in a gorgeous and relaxing environment, I definitely recommend.

Pretty environment, boring food - Edit
The food was only ok, though well presented and in a nice ambiance. I did the prix fixe, and the main course, dandan noodles, was simple street food. Not worth the price. But nothing bad about it.

Upscale tea house - Edit
They're in an outside shopping plaza. They have English menus that note which items have dairy and egg. Some English spoken and they're super nice. This is not as formal of a tea house as Wistaria in Taipei, but it's pretty similar. Don't really on this place for full meals. It's snack food appropriate for tea.
