Best Mediterranean Food Ever! - Edit
I was in Chico for one day and entered this restaurant on a whim because I love Mediterranean food. I am so glad I did! The food was so delicious and the most perfectly cooked Mediterranean food I have ever had! The vegetables were steamed to just the right amount of crunchiness and the falafels were tasty and spicy without being the least bit oily. The lentil soup was delicately spiced and quite filling. The pita bread was delicious and also was perfectly cooked without a trace of extra oil. Even the rice was steamed perfectly and was not sticky. The meal was both delicious and healthful. I am a vegetarian (not a vegan) so I didn't have issues with the ingredients. The service was very friendly and the ambience was pleasant and calm. Next time I head north to Oregon I will definitely stop here!

Beware of hidden dairy! - Edit
They fed me dairy even though they told me they would omit it. I am lactose intolerant. I wish I had not dined there. Their falafel was great, but I am suffering still from the meal they told me was "vegan".

Eggs, really?! - Edit
I went with a group of vegans and was surprised and disappointed to learn from the server that the pita has egg in it, so we couldn’t try the hummus or baba ghanouj. They also didn’t have any of their vegan bread available, so we made do with their salad choices, some falafel, and their lentil soup.
Read moreThe server reported that the salad dressings for the house salad were not vegan, and they offered a pomegranate vinaigrette dressing, which turned out to be too tart.
There was a seasonal house salad made with tomatoes, cucumber, red onions with a lemon / olive oil dressing that was quite good. I think it was called shirazi.
The lentil soup was well-seasoned and tomato-based. The smaller cup-sized serving was a generous portion — but it was garnished with the previously described non-vegan bread croutons.
The tabouli was excellent — it tasted fresh and was heavy on the parsley and mint, which I like. The falafels were great. We had them as a side order drizzled with a vegan tahini.
The ambience is lovely, the service excellent. It was just too bad that their version of a Mediterranean and middle eastern staple isn’t vegan.
It’s probably worth going back another day and to confirm that the pita is really not vegan. The menu is detailed so that customers know whether there will be feta or egg in the dish, but otherwise nothing is labeled vegan.
Pros: Falafel, Tabouli
Cons: Non-vegan pitas

Wonderful meal, delightful ambiance, friendly - Edit
So incredible that they made me a special vegan plate that showcased the falafel, humus, rosted veggies, olives, fresh tomato salad, all wonderful flavors, and a delight to the taste buds 😋
