One of my new favorite restaurants

This is my fourth trip to PV in the last two years and I’m beyond bummed that it took until this visit for me to find Mezcal & Sal.

1. The vibe of the restaurant is phenomenal. There are thoughtful artistic touches everywhere. They even have unique glassware and plates. It looks like every single one is different. They even have a custom vintage style poster with their business name on it. My friend and I loved it so much that we asked if they had them available for purchase. The staff was wonderful and took down our number because they’re seeing if they can have it printed for us before we leave.

2. The drinks are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I’ve been to places with boujee over the top cocktails but this is next level. I think it’s because you’re constantly surprised by their overtop presentation. The best part is that the flavor of the cocktails matches the level of the presentation. Mezcal is one of my favorite liquors so I may be a little biased but this is one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever had in PV.

3. The menu is notated detailing out their vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Each section of the menu has a few vegan gluten free options so you have so much to pick from!

4. We had the guacamole trio and I had the chickpea chorizo tlayuda. The best way I can describe the tlayuda is it’s almost like a Mexican pizza. It’s a thin crispy corn tortilla with beans, vegan cheese, avocado, and chickpea chorizo on top. It also came with two sauces that were amazing. I was so excited about it that I forgot to take a picture before I dove in.

I’m excited to come back and try other things on their menu!

Pros: Gluten free options, Notated menu, Amazing vibe

Upscale modern restaurant with many vegan offerings

A modern, upbeat ambience with house music and an energetic vibe. The restaurant says that most items can be made vegan and they have vegan cheese and sour cream. The marinated watermelon tiradito appetizer was delicious, it had more the texture and taste of sushi than watermelon. I also had the tetelas, a little like triangular empañadas filled with beans and vegan cheese, with various toppings The restaurant is known for its creative, mezcal-based cocktails.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Creative, modern menu

Cons: Few tables = a wait to be seated at busy times, A little expensive, not terribly given the quality

A beautiful concept, food & cocktail experience

Another favourite spot to visit with non-vegan friends and family. Mezcal y Sal never fails to wow! You'll visit here for the cocktails, which are always beautiful presented with a balanced flavour. Be brave with an "Incognito" cocktail where the mixologist will whip up something unique for you.

But planning a visit based on their food menu won't disappoint either. Each section of the menu offers more than one vegan option, with alternative cheeses and jackfruit fillings offered. Mention you're vegan when ordering! Everything here is delicious, but favourites here are the Mini Lonche Bañado made with jackfruit carnitas, 3 Guacamoles, Oyster Mushroom Tacos Bahia and Jackfruit Marlin Style Tetelas... and their artisanal mole!

If there are more than two of you, it certainly helps to make a reservation at this popular spot.

Pros: Oustanding presentation, Delicious mezcal-based cocktails, Excellent range of vegan options
