Serves meat, vegan options available. Afro-fusion fine dining with a 10 course tasting menu. No set menu as it changes according to seasonal produce. Majority of vegetables are from their farms in Rwanda. Reservation required, specify vegan to chef when making reservation. Chef is mostly plant based himself and the majority of dishes at restaurant are too. Serves dishes incorporating native vegetables, herbs and spices. Open Wed-Thu 6:00pm-10:00pm, Fri 6:00pm-9:30pm, Sat 6:00pm-10:00pm. Closed Sun-Tue.

Meza Malonga Magic - Edit
This place is one of a kind. Meza Malonga specializes in Afro-fusion cuisine and makes food that made me smile like an idiot throughout this 10-course, 3 hour fine dining affair.

Service was excellent, Malonga or other sous chefs take the time to explain each dish to you when it is served. Ambiance is great as restaurant overlooks the beautiful Kigali hills and has an intimate setting, sitting a max of approx 15 people at any one time. You can also see your food being assembled. Although not fully vegan, chef is mostly plant based himself and can curate a vegan menu!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Meza Malonga and will definitely be back. If you’re passing through Kigali, make sure you set some time aside to come here. You won’t regret it.
