best place of our entire trip - Edit
my friend and i stayed here for 4 hours, we only left because trains were stopping soon 😭
Read moreit was the most fun night of our whole trip. the food and drinks were all DELICIOUS (the sautéed veg was sooooo good and the neapolitan pasta). i told the owner minako i liked lemonade and she made me a drink with lemons she preserved herself. it was soooo yummy. the place had fun little games you can play alone or with friends which kept us entertained. the owner and man working were super friendly and we ended up speaking to them for hours. they gave us a little gift and lots of vegan recommendations for the rest of our trip 🥹 ❤️
wish we had time to come back before leaving japan

A hidden spot in Koenji to relax with rock music, homemade vegan food, and drinks - Edit
Although the map says Nishi-Ogikubo, it relocated to Koenji in 2025.
Read moreA cozy heavy metal–inspired rock bar in northern Koenji, tucked away on the second floor of Koshin Street. You can’t see inside from the street, but once you step in, the rock posters and flyers instantly set the mood.
All dishes are vegan, with carefully selected ingredients. Must-tries include the Black Metal Curry and Showa-style Napolitan Spaghetti. Drinks are plentiful, and unique rock star–themed cocktails add a fun touch.
The friendly female owner makes it easy to feel comfortable even alone. Popular with both locals and foreigners, it’s perfect for rock fans or anyone looking to enjoy great vegan food and drinks in a relaxed setting.

Vegan rock bar named after Linkin Park album. Serves "black metal curry" too. - Edit
Really great spot for rock, metal, wrestling and darts fans. A vegan rock bar with a menu of differenr main dishes and tons of side dishes. I had the nasu ricu (an eggplant and veggie rice dish) and friend had the black metal curry. Both dishes were served with basmati rice and were nicely spiced and aromatic. Food was good and main dishes were 900¥.
Read moreReallly nice and attentive owner, and the spot is open for musicians to perform.
Very close to the station. Go down the stairs and you will find it. We found the door with the "closed" sign displayed, but it was actually open, so please try even if you might suspect it is closed. Their hours are regular as displayed here on HC and their IG. Will come back again.
