Tasty vegan option, great service - Edit
Pretty much just the vegan sausage as the vegan option but it was great. A breaded seitan potato type thing with some veggies. Good option in a small town with limited choices. Excellent service and solid wine list.

Nice burger - Edit
They had a really nice vegan burger and chips on the special when I was there. It was in flat bread. Staff were also super nice. No lasagna as every review says lol!

Not the greatest experience - Edit
2 vegan options on the menu: sausage or lasagna. They didn't have the lasagna, so I had the sausage. Pictures on Happycow looked nice and maybe the lasagna would have been better, but the sausage was just weird. Weird texture and store-bought (so they told me). Friendly staff though!

Vegan sausage - Edit
We were visiting Sintra on weekend and since Bosque was closed, we decided to try our luck here. We came at its busiest time- the place was fully packed, we were actually lucky to get a table (and we also had to wait for it)! This restaurant has an eatery/pub vibe and seems to be very popular. Our server was great and spoke good English. Their menu has a dedicated vegetarian and vegan section with 2 vegan options listed. Like others previously experienced- vegan lasagna was not available, so if you are vegan, be prepared to order the sausage. Vegetarians have a bit more options, though. The sausage was OK and came with veggies. I wish there were some potatoes or something coming with the meal other than carrots and broccoli. The meal as it came wasn't very satiating but you can always order fries! My company who was not vegan nor vegetarian ordered pork sausage and said that it was the best sausage they have eaten and that it was easily 10/10 for them. I don't think that this restaurant is bad or anything, it is simply not the best option for vegans but I am giving a thumb up for squeezing at least one vegan option into their menu!! Would love to try their vegan lasagna but it doesn't seem like anyone has been able to order this meal in the past year so I don't think I will repeat my visit here (despite my positive experience with the server and how the restaurant felt overall).

Tasty! - Edit
Despite there being only two vegan options (vegan lasagna was unavailable), they were full of delicious veggies and was very satisfying. The hubby got the stuffed eggplant (minus the cheese) and I got the vegan alheira (Portuguese sausage).

Tasty - Edit
Very cosy friendly space, they have cloth napkins and menu online with qr code, so a bit sustainable and modern even if the restaurant doesn't look like it. Service was really friendly and meal was very tasty. Price was okay. For Portugal maybe expensive but not that high prices I saw in many other restaurants. Meals costs about 8€

I totally recommend this restaurant. It’s traditional Portuguese food but the hot real vege and veggie options, still in Portuguese style ! The waiters are very nice, the wine is very good ! So happy of our dinner (better to make a reservation, Victor of his success)

Traditional Portuguese food restaurant... - Edit
Traditional Portuguese food restaurant with friendly employees. When we went, the vegan lasagne was not available, maybe because we went for lunch too late, so I ordered the stuffed eggplant from the vegetarian section on the menu without the cheese and some french fries. The food is nice, but I would like to try the vegan lasagne, hope that dish is more fulfilling. They also have a huge selection of wines.

Good meal with clearly labelled vegan options - Edit
The restaurant offers two clearly labelled vegan main dishes, vegan sausage and vegan lasagna. I had the sausage, which was good although the texture was a bit strange to me but still decent. As a starter, I had the sauteed mushrooms, which were vegan although not listed among the vegan options (I asked the waitress to check in the kitchen), and they were absolutely amazing! If you go here, you need to start with them. Even my non vegan boyfriend loved them.

Vegan sausage - Edit
Wandering around town last night looking for something to eat. My traveling companion was looking for a local fish dish, my only requirement was something vegan (and I was prepared not to eat)... Then we turned the corner and voila! They had 2 vegan options along with the exact codfish whatever she was wanting to try. And may I say, the vegan sausage was amazing! Highly recommend.

This restaurant had two vegan options (both clearly listed as “vegan” on the menu). The restaurant offered vegan sausage as well as vegan lasagna. I had the vegan sausage on this trip; it was pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Really cosy place with tasty vegetarian food - Edit
I had the vegetable pie with a very tasty mushroom sauce. As a dessert I had the doce da casa, a really delicious (not vegan) cookie & cream dessert of which I could easily have eaten a dozen. Really nice staff & good vibe for a very reasonable price.

Boring for vegans - Edit
This restaurant looks more expensive than it is. The vegetarian menu has one vegan option but that's not what was recommended to me. I had mushrooms as an starter and vegetables in eggplant as a main. I had to ask for them to add rice and I was happy to have had the mushrooms because the main course was not a full meal. Tasteless veggies from the oven with nothing else because they left out the cheese.

Best food we had in Portugal - Edit
(I tried to rate 5 star but can't on happy cow as it's not 100% veggie). We are 2 vegetarians and came here by accident. It was absolutely brilliant - we left in a good food mood. There are 5 vegetarian options (I think some vegan) and it's obvious the chefs have made a real effort to make them tasty and different. The best bits were a great big plate of grilled peppers and the "bread tower." Honestly we ordered this as a joke as we thought it sounded silly, but it is amazing - it's a vegetarian take on a 'francesinha', a traditional dish in Porto, and 'bread tower' is really underselling it. The waiters were very chilled and friendly, very nice wine, and the food was not expensive, less than 10 euros for a main. Probably lots of delicious meat and fish too. Go for it.
