Classic Fast Food - Edit
You can find better vegan burgers elsewhere but these are probably the most similar to traditional fast food places.

Good sandwiches! No longer has the good soda - Edit
Meta burger is yummy. I miss the black cherry tarragon soda. The cashier told me they can’t get the supplier to deliver it. That stinks, but they can’t control. I love the Inferno with the chicken patty. Food has been consistently yummy. I agree customer service could be improved, but I honestly don’t work in an hourly food service job, and no one is outwardly rude, but not outwardly nice & enthusiastic. Neutral is fine. Also with high prices, small businesses have higher overhead . I love that I have meta burger as a vegan option near me!

meh - Edit
i really wanted to enjoy my experience here, but this location definitely didn’t have the same vibe as the meta burger that closed on the east side of denver; it really seemed like the employees couldn’t be bothered, maybe it’s a bad place to work with bad pay, i dunno. i ordered the philly cheeze steak, and the meat wasn’t even on the bun when it arrived. minty shake was good, tho! i guess i just expected more from a place that purports to have the best vegan burger in the world

Gone downhill - Edit
I really want to root for any vegan spot but the quality is very inconsistent and the prices too high for basic burgers and such.
Read moreFrom a customer point of view it just feels sad inside, would be surprised if meta burger lasts more than another year or so. The staff always seem super stressed out, guessing it isn’t a great place to work. Recommend Gladys instead.
Hope they turn it around…

Great food - Edit
The food was excellent. There are two vegan places in this market and we chose Meta burger because my Omni child wanted a burger. They said it was the best burger they have ever had. I had the green chili cheese steak which was delicious. I only gave it 4 stars because this was the second time I have ever been there and both times the staff were super unfriendly. Like I was bothering them by ordering or something.

Great, healthy-ish burgers - Edit
Really liked the Inferno burger. Quite spicy but not insane. hungry planet patties are solid - not quite juicy enough, but so much healthier.

Tasty fast food - Edit
I don’t eat vegan fast food very often, so this was a treat. We ordered the classic and the inferno burger with the soy patty. We added bacon to the classic. Both were very satisfying. Although, I did not find the inferno very hot. We also tried the sweet potato fries. Yum!

Deliciousness abounds! - Edit
Ordered the Flatiron with the chicken patty. Made with gluten (fine by me), NOT breaded with wheat flour (not good for me), so I was glad. The potato salad was great! Got the MAC kid’s meal for the teenager. She’s says, “Very very good”, so yay! She adds that it is smoky.

This is a cute little burger spot with plenty of options. Food came out quickly and tasted on par for fast casual food. I’d recommend and revisit if I were in Denver again.

Meta Burger is my favorite vegan restaurant in the Denver area (they have a location in Boulder too). Delicious burgers and sandwiches. Amazing milkshakes. Friendly staff. Management strives to pay their staff a liveable wage. They often have really good specials too!

Better than average burgers, gradually improving - Edit
Meta Burger is a step above your average plant-based burger joint, with some tasty offerings, a few semi-healthy options, and some room to improve. We’ve eaten here countless times ever since they opened because we’re in the area often.
Read moreThey’ve recently expanded their menu to include some less-processed (and thus healthier) patty options, including mushrooms and lentil-based patties, which are very welcome additions. Flavor-wise, Meta Burger’s strength is mostly in what accompanies the patty — the sauces and toppings. The Flatiron and the Godfather are good places to start. The sweet potato fries are good, too.
Service is usually good, but it ranges from excellent to terrible depending on who is working. Most of our interactions here have been warm and pleasant, with a few exceptions*.
We’d love to see them continue to add healthier options, such as a grilled portobello burger, some interesting salads, and more organic, whole-food ingredients. This would help them rise above the oversaturated marketplace of vegan-but-not-healthy fast food that, unfortunately for human bodies, has become pervasive.
Also, we wish they would provide a container for compostable waste (without which using “compostable” containers has little value).
With a little more TLC, Meta Burger could become one of the Denver metro’s gems.
(*For example: On one 2023 visit, the young person at the counter ignored me when I stepped up to place an order, and I saw she was busy typing something so I waited patiently, but she never looked up , so after a few minutes I said, “Hi, are you going to be a while?” She glanced up at me indifferently and said, “Yeah, I have a big order,” and then she turned back to the screen, so I said ”OK” and went to Gladys (the gourmet vegan place across the hall) instead. Seems like some training in customer service is needed. It doesn’t take but an extra second or two to say, “Hi, I’m sorry for the wait. I’ll be right with you,” and it’s a standard courtesy to give a realistic estimate when there will be more than a brief wait, but this person appeared to have absolutely no concern about customer experience. I hope the standards of service can be kept warm and considerate.)

Always great but even better - Edit
The chicken-bacon-avo club was an absolute dream. Every ingredient and flavor was perfect. This place is always great but this sandwich was even able to top their great burgers. And make sure you order a shake.

Award-Winner - Edit
I ordered the Flatiron Burger because I wanted to taste why it’s an award-winner. It did not disappoint at all. Completely loved it! 5/5
Read moreMy husband got the Philly Cheesesteak and he really enjoyed it too. He’s a meat-eater and he ate it all up - although, he said he’s giving it a 4/5 bc he’d still rather have the real thing. I’m giving it a 5/5.
Their Chilli Cheese Fries were great, too. The waffle fries themselves could have been better, but the sauce itself was spectacular - I licked the remains, 5/5.
A couple days later, I ordered the Island Burger - 5/5. Very interesting flavors that worked well together. And my husband ordered the Omega Burger. He said he like the Philly better but this was still good. The Pretzels were amazing and so were the sauces: 5/5.

Always Give 2nd Chances 🥤🍔 - Edit
I’ve heard nothing but great things, and their impressive roster of 5 Star reviews & customer posted pictures surely had me drooling.
Read moreI ordered:
• Flat Iron Burger (Most Popular & recommended)
• Cheese Fries (Shareable Portion)
• Vanilla Milkshake
• Fountain Drink (Unique to Meta Cola)
🍔 The burger did not blow me away like I wanted it to, I was ready to fall out of my seat, but stayed firmly planted despite my longing.
I would say this is probably due to the ‘Meta Patty’ being somewhat underwhelming, the dressings & makeup of the burger were all wonderful but it’s that lack of Zest from the Patty itself that left me a little disappointed.
🧀🍟 The Cheese Fries were nothing special either, in fact I would go as far as to say they’re aren’t enjoyable at all. The portion of the “cheese” is extremely lacking, it sort of felt like a drizzle rather than CHEESE FRIES. It’s half the name of the ‘dish’ yet its 85% Fries & 15% Cheese. That being said, the actual flavor of the cheese is what seems to me, underdeveloped. It doesn’t earn its seat at the table of plant-based cheese by a long shot. It’s slightly musty/dusty tasting and just overall wasn’t bringing the power you need cheese to bring.
🥤The Milkshake however was absolutely amazing, it’s my favorite type of dessert or close to, so I may be biased but I really did enjoy my Vanilla shake. Upon going a 2nd time I switched it up with a Strawberry shake and was properly blown away a 2nd time. I’m a sucker for their milkshakes apparently 🤷🏻♂️
What earns this place 5 stars is its Chicken Burger & Fry Sauce. I never got around to writing them a review after my first visit, and its a good thing I didn’t because my 2nd visit won me over.
This time I ordered:
• Sweet Chipotle Chicken Burger
• Sweet Potato Fries
• Side of Fry Sauce
• Strawberry Milkshake
✨ Everything in that order was truly next level. The sweet chipotle chicken burger was bursting with savory & sweet flavors, the sweet potato fries were good alone, but with their “fry sauce” i was hardly present and instead was out of body with delight.
The strawberry milkshake was another home-run and Now I can’t wait to try the chocolate.
Their colas are very unique as well, not your typical coke, sprite, or dr pepper, but instead assortment refreshing colas that don’t feel as syrup-ey as your typical selection.
One thing worth mentioning is the price. Oh man. I ended up spending $30 eachtime I went in. Pricey, but worth it to be honest.
Pros: Delicious Fry Sauce, Unique Fountain Drinks, Milkshakes Available
Cons: Expensive!
