I love Metaburger. the food is delicious with so many GF options. The restaurant is clean which is a bonus. Their sides are really good. Highly recommend!

I found out about this place very recently. On my first (and only, so far) visit, I had the hangover sandwich - absolutely delicious. I was shocked. I ate half right away and then the other half a day later - still really excellent. Not sure what’s in it but can’t wait to have another one!

Good Crispy Chicken Sandwich - Edit
With so many unfavorable reviews of the burger, I opted for the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich. I got it without cheese and had the Meta sauce on the side. The patty was thinner than most other places, but I liked that as it had an overall crispier texture. The sauce was good, but with a pretty mild flavor. The fries were good, but nothing to make them stand out. I also had the seasonal pumpkin shake which was a delight. Seems like a decent vegan joint to me, based on this one visit. Definitely worth a try. 🙂

Read moreWing recipe needs a lot of adjustments. They should clean the tables better and more often. I've never sat down to a table here I felt was clean-makes me wonder about the back end hygiene standards of ownership. Sometimes food is not consistent, but almost always enjoyable. Only once was it not eatable: I tried the Texas Toast Special two months ago and it was top ten worse tasting sandwiches I've had in my life-whoever came up with it should not be allowed with in 100 feet from the experimental kitchen. This place put Native Foods out of business because it's much much better.

Read moreThere is something about Meta’s burger patties that’s unpleasing to my tender mouth buds. While I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, I’ve noticed the exact same sensation with the patties at Native Foods. My previous theory was that this had to do with an ingredient derived from grape seed oil, because the taste in question reminds me somewhat of… taffy, but how to even begin substantiating this theory is beyond my current capability.
So. Like I now do at NF, I typically stay on the chicken-sandwich side of things. And even these are pretty good, but nothing life-altering. For me the same really goes for Meta’s wings and fries (missing those waffle shaped taters of yesteryear).
Overall, I appreciate that this place is here and giving people great options. That’s plain to see from the other reviews. I love that they offer the rotating monthly menu item and seem so open to the community’s feedback. It’s definitely the best of the contemporary Meta companies. The Boulder location, formerly Garbanzos, never seems that busy when I go, though. I am rooting for them.

I was impressed with the food here and simultaneously disappointed by the prices. Costs like $14 for a burger only with no deals with combined fries and drink. Maybe I’d come back if this was in my budget.

It’s very refreshing to be able to go somewhere and be able to order anything off the menu. I got the Flatiron burger and a cookies n crème shake and both were delicious. I ordered cheese fries and mac and cheese but was too full after the burger and shake to eat it!

It was very pleasant to eat in a fast food restaurant and to be able to order everything from the menu without having to ask if it is vegan. The choice of burgers is quite large and there are also sides and shakes. The wait was short and the burger was freshly prepared and hot. They also have glutenfree buns.

We liked everything we tried which included hangover chicken sandwich which had a hash brown patty on it which somehow made it taste like a fried fish sandwich in a wonderful way. The flatiron cheese fries are topped with shaved Brussels sprouts and cheese sauce which was a great combo. Also had Uncle Phil burger, inferno chicken sandwich, cookies and cream shake and super nova burger. And we are on the patio. Yum!

Best Vegan Burgers & Sandwiches - Edit
The vegan burgers and chicken sandwiches are some of the best you’ll have! Two meat-eating colleagues joined me and they praised this place as the best veggie burgers they’ve had…so that’s always nice to hear! I tried the Cowboy chicken sandwich and that was really good. Also tried these loaded fries with some of the best vegan cheese I’ve had. Additionally, colleagues tried vegan strawberry shakes which they liked but I had a Chocolate shake with cookies and cream added. That was amazing and perfect texture. The staff was very kind and welcoming and the place is clean & pretty. Though I will say it’s spendy but also surprised at how large the portions were so it’s not horribly priced…but still expensive in my book. I would go to again and try a new item!

Read moreThey upped the prices of burgers and sandwiches from $10-$13 within less than a year?! Ridiculous. Gave the first option for a burger a try and it was so underwhelming. It was served to me cold, and it was very dry. The bun hardly toasted. So bland. I do like their regular French fries with the cheese sauce though. Those are properly fried.
This place is super overrated. Make better burgers please. Learn from other burger places.

Very good burgers, fries and shakes. Though, the price is a little expensive. The large shake looks like the regular size. The large size shake is about a small shake at other burger places. Maybe have a label of the sizes?
The burgers and sandwiches are all $10 without fries. Wish there was a smaller size for someone who doesn’t want to spend that much money.

I've been to the Meta Burger in Denver before, but this was a much more pleasant experience because the location is a lot better. They have great high quality vegan burgers here that are extremely flavorful. Both my husband and I really enjoyed it. This will definitely be my go to vegan place in Boulder until Native Foods is back!

Read moreI came back the next day and got the chicken deluxe but I admit I was disappointed. It wasn’t really crunchy like I expected and I didn’t care for the sauces or the American cheese as much (I think their Gouda is better). I’ll be back to get the Godfather without spice though!
