The best - Edit
The food here is delicious with some interesting and unusual ingredients. I have enjoyed everything that I tried. Most items are vegan and there is a V on the menu next to these items. Some dishes contain real cheese like the lasagna, unfortunately. It's a nicely decorated location with ample outdoor and indoor seating.

Pros: tasty and beautiful

A piece of heaven. - Edit
This place is so amazing. Their presentation is beautiful and artistic. The food is incredible. I would go there just for the Herbal Coffee. It's delicious!! This is a perfect spot to bring non-vegan friends and family, to celebrate birthdays or a romantic anniversary.

Tasty in Santa Barbara - Edit
Really nice menu, lots of variety. Been here several times, everything we tried was great. Staff is very friendly. The tacos and empennadas were especially good. So is the baklava. A bit pricy but so is most of Santa Barbara. The only bad thing is the parking is awful.

Delcious Vegan Food & Fantastic Service - Edit
Great food and fantastic service. I asked our server, Fatima, for no extra oil (as little as possible) and no salt where possible. She (and the kitchen) were very accommodating. Our food was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. Food is all vegan. We will be back when we're in Santa Barbara next time. Thank you for a great meal!😄
Read moreIt's nestled between the 7-11 and a gas station and a bit hard to spot from the street. Parking is a bit limited, but it's worth it for the great food and service.
Pros: All Vegan Delicious Food, Friendly & Prompt Service, Accommodated special request of limited oil & salt
Cons: Hard to see from street between 7-11 & gas station, Parking might be a slight challenge

Excellent Lunch! - Edit
Sharing Street Tacos, Empanadas, burrito and California Salad among 4 friends was great! Our lunch order kind of got lost, so the server apologized and they took an item off the bill! We did not notice the delay as we were chatting away over Chai and wine. This is definitely a place to go back to.

Wonderful place with mostly vegan food. - Edit
Everything is tasty and the atmosphere is nice. You would never know that the restaurant is between a gas station and a convenience store, even while sitting outside! Most of the food is vegan, but a couple of dishes aren't. I go whenever I'm in Santa Barbara, and I've never had a bad experience.

Overpriced and just OK - Edit
The food at Mesa Verde is good. Nothing really special but cute decorated.
Read moreWe sat outside on a sticky wodden-table. Our waiters came and nearly threw the dishes & glasses onto the table...with a loud “bump!”.
But the one thing that really was ridiculous were the prices. It was a party of 3 and we paid spherical $170! For good food. Even in L.A., Miami or NYC you’ll get more for your money.
Overall, it would have been nice without the astronomical prices and nervoud waiters.
Pros: Good food...like a 6.5/10, Outdoor seating
Cons: Freakin’ expensive! , Harsh waiters

Great spot. - Edit
We got the green rice bowl and the lasagna and they were both 4 star quality!! I gave it 5 because the service was amazing. Our waitress was so happy and helpful, and gave us lots of good tips when going over the menu. We also get the chocolate cake for dessert. A little on the smaller side but still delicious with the chocolate mousse it comes with 😍😭. Must try!

Good, a little bland - Edit
It's slim pickings for good vegan fare in Santa Barbara so I hesitate to give only 4 stars, it was nice to see a full, varied, unique vegan menu and the food was good. It was a little bland.
Read moreThe exception was the cheese platter which had the most cheddar-y cheese I've tasted since going vegan (20 plus years). We got the green risotto which was part of a chefs challenge and a mushroom alfredo. Both were missing a little spicing and salting. As well, I don't think I need any more green peas for some time.
We had a nice meal, thankful for actual vegan food, and happy to support them, but can't say 5 stars.
Pros: Lots of unique options , Fully vegan the night we were there
Cons: Could be more flavourful , Expensive

Very good lots of options - Edit
Most menu items are entirely plant based. I chose the Impossible Burger Burrito and it was delish!! Moderately spicey for spice lovers, might be a tad too spicey for those who don’t like heat. I recommend sharing it with someone because it is absolutely GIGANTIC. Oh and a bit salty if you are watching sodium.
