Serves meat, vegan options available. Makes tacos, enchiladas, burritos, salads, and sharing appetizers - ask which can be made vegan. Serves margaritas and craft beer.
Mesa Fresca was such a cute vibe, but I wasn't impressed by their selection of vegan options. I'm not sure if their menu has changed but it seemed like they had more interesting and fun vegan options a few years back. We got the bean dip as an appetizer which isn't labeled vegan on the menu, but our server confirmed it was. The only vegan entree is the Tacos Veganos. The tacos consisted of sweet potato, lettuce, corn and bean salsa, and a vegan aioli. The tacos were quite basic and bland and something I could easily make at home for so much cheaper. Honestly was left disappointed and probably won't return.
As a resident in the west end of the city this place is a hidden gem! The vibe inside is wonderful, and there is lots of parking available due to its location. Incredible cocktails (margaritas yummmm) as well as fantastic vegan tacos among other options! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Takeout service offered, patio available for extra seating in warmer months.
I love this local spot here in Kingston. I like downtown but don’t mind making a trip up to this gem. It’s a perfect spot to go out for a bite with those who are not vegan in your life. The lentil tacos are seasoned great, I’m always happy when my vegan meals out are actually high in protein. Now their salad... it’s one of my favs of all time! Sweet potatoe, seeds, house dressing, vegan cheese with no up charge. Gotta check this place out for a wonderful vegan Mexican night.
