Cool art space with a café

Merseymade is an art shop and studios focusing on local artists. There's also a café with seating throughout and amongst the shop. Not much choice on the menu with just one vegan option in each section and nothing on the kids' menu. What I did have - the crushed chickpea on ciabatta - was delicious. I had it with a red berry tea from a local tea company.

Pros: Local business supporting local artists.

Cons: Limited vegan options., Service a little muddled at times., Seating a bit cramped amongst the shop.

A nice lunch

Not a multitude of vegan options but what they had was nice. Only one plant milk on offer- the popular oat milk- would have been nice for soy milk as that is an alternative many people prefer. I had a chickpea ciabatta which was delicious, I think there were a couple more vegan options but some easily veganisable items (such as avo on toast) were topped with bacon or chorizo.

Pros: Lovely artwork, Central location, Independent business

Cons: No parking, Meat options available, Limited vegan/vegetarian options

Amazing vegan cooked breakfast

We had breakfast on a Sunday morning. Sat quietly upstairs, just two tables up there.

The make your own breakfast was just lovely. Half an avocado, scrambled tofu, baked beans, seeded toast, hash brown balls, butternut squash sausages. Yum. And all for under £7. Beautiful quality and so tasty.

Would definitely return.

Pros: Vegan cooked breakfast , Awesome location amongst the artwork

Beautiful setting

Well cooked food beautifully presented - the chef was a bake off finalist - in a historic and creative space, sit and have your coffee amongst artists and artworks!

Offering cooked vegan breakfasts, soups, Mexican salad bowls and sandwiches. Vegan cakes also available.

Pros: Quality ingredients , Great setting , Friendly service

Cons: Can get busy

Lovely setting and decent choice

It would be worth going to Merseymade just for the setting. The cafe is in the middle of a lovely local arts shop. They have a seperate vegan menu, although it was Veganuary so I wouldn't be sure at other times of the year. We had the blind scouse which was hearty and delicious. They also had cakes and vegan milks.
