Vegan rich for bar and brew Americana style

Sometimes, you are accompanying and spending time with your peops, and the majority decides for eatery X. Ok, so as a vegan you grin and bear it, recognizing that eateries focusing on local American style brew-focused dining usually fall far short for a hungry vegan's hopes and appetite. This is NOT that place. Meridian Pint had a respectable selection of vegan offerings, and they are marked vegan- not vegetarian. That is A+ menu sensitivity if you ask me! They also label gluten-free.

What to order here! Too many choices! They have salads, burgers (tofu, lentil), appetizers (Ohmigosh the vegan nachos with Daiya and chili and guacamole!!!) and entrees, but no desserts. However, upon eating fried tofu appetizer, a salad and/ or nachos to start your meal, and then following with an entree or burger- you won't have room for dessert. The entrees vary by the season, which for vegans is great! Autumn and winter will bring area, squashes and tofu/ protein based dishes that are not by any measure an after thought to just have vegan items. They make their own vegan sour cream with cashews- yum!! The veggies are fresh and delicious, the entrees highlight the beautiful seasonal ingredients.

Conclusion: if everyone wants to go to Meridian Pint, as a vegan, you will not be second class! Yummm!

Pros: Vegan nachos, Vegan items marked, Seasonal menu

Cons: Menu has no vegan dessert, Vegan nondairy milk for coffee?

Great Beer AND Vegan Options

I found this place while looking for a good craft beer selection, not expecting the food to be anything special. However, in addition to great beer, the food is great. Not only do they have vegan nachos and 2 kinds of vegan burgers with great toppings including Daiya, they have some awesome entrees. I had the marinated baked tofu with lemon dill tahini sauce, with saffron quinoa and fresh seasonal vegetables. It was so good! Also on the menu is vegan eggplant and butternut squash mousakka and lentil and butternut squash stew. On top of great beer and food, the bartender brought my husband and I a free sampler flight and when we ordered another flight later, he brough us an extra sample he wanted us to try. I definitely want to go back to this place. Great beer, good food, great service, and a nice ambiance. I was very impressed.

Pros: Great beer, Great food, Great service

Cons: $17 entrees
