Nice Staff Quick Lunch - Edit
For 1000 forints you get their daily plate. The food is different, but good. It wasn't that warm or amazing, but enjoyable. The staff was very nice! I would recommend if you are looking for a quick lunch!

First time we ate there we went for a take-away and it was so tasty and diverse that we came back for another lunch.
The menu of the day consisted both times of different components, amongst others homemade burgers made of veggies, crispy textured soy and flavorful tomato sauce.
We had a nice talk with the owner. She told us about her restaurant in Columbia and her mission to serve good vegan food to bring out veganism into the world.
We can only recommend this place and would definitely come back.

Mixed up feelings - Edit
I do agree that staff at this place are extremely friendly. However, I was curious to try their food and wasn't impressed: their sandwich could easily be made juicier, or more sophisticated, or just more appetizing... what I received belonged in a school canteen, but hey, it wasn't exactly expensive and you get what you pay for. In terms of "icy refreshers", they just had the standard fare of smoothies and the like. Mine was with acai, and it did the trick.

Lunch time Saviour - Edit
A small but lovely place almost next to Keleti railway station kept by really friendly people. A rich daily menu consisted of several things (Rice, tofu, beans, patty, salad...), was super delicious and cheap. The owner even offered to hold our baby so that we can eat. This place we'll keep going back to!

This is a little place located near the main train station and owned by a very friendly Asian couple.
I had a coffee latte and a Apple "puff" which was very good!
Recommended in you are in the area!

Thoroughly enjoyed coming back here again & again - Edit
I was in Budapest for a week and was lucky to find this small Shop/Cafe/Restaraunt right next to where I was staying. They offer a selection of Vegan dishes as well as a changing daily special(which I always got and never left hungry or unsatisified) The owners were two lovely human beings who took interest in each of their clients and had discussions with both them and other diners whilst there.
One of the highlights of my trip in budapest.

The owners are this really friendly old Asian couple, and the food is delicious, and cheap!

Tasty food and very kind owners - Edit
This is a small bistro with 6-7 seats. Offers a mixed dish and a soup of the day that change everyday. It offers also sandwiches, hot dog and burges (all vegan!) and plant milks. You can see the photos of the previous menus on the facebook page. The menu usually consists of 5 items: rice/cous cous/pasta + vegetables + peas/lentils/+ vegetables cake/burger + soya/tofu/seitan. The dish is huge and very tasty. Don't worry if you don't see the food when you enter because they prepare the dish for you as you order. We took the menu of the day that consisted of cous cous with vegetables, lentils, vegetables burger,spicy soya meat and salad, delicious!! We tried also the burger and the sandwich and both were good and big. The lady that welcomes you speaks english and is very very friendly and kind and like to talk to customers. Inexpensive (1000 ft for a huge mixed dish, about 400/500 ft for the sandwich).

Nice surprise - Edit
This tiny food store/restaurant is located very near to Keleti train station. Not what we expected at all. We thought it would be considerably bigger. But what is more important is that it is a real vegan eatery. The lovely oriental couple that runs it are very warm and welcoming and will speak English to you.
They have a daily menu and hot dogs too.
We took a plate of the daily offer each and we LOVED it.
If you are catching a train there you must take a half hour to visit them. You will not regret it. :-)

The most beautiful people I've ever met, we were so happy to give them our custom. Food was made with love, very tasty and VERY cheap.
