Cute family owned little food station - Edit

This is a very small place, 8+1 bar stools only, there are no real tables, keep this in mind 😊
However, it is very cozy, operated by a sweet, smiley, elderly Asian couple, who are superfriendly and helpful. They do not really speak Hungarian, so it is a really international tiny place, cause you hear a mix of English, Hungarian and Asian language continiously 😁
The food is great! Simple, bit of fusion of Asian and European cuisine, very yummy.
It's at a very convenient place as well, just at East Railway Station, easy to get to or from the centre by subway.
They offer menu in 3 different sizes, changing every day.

Pros: Very good food, Convenient location, Super friendly owners

Cons: Tiny

Veggie burgers are out of this world! - Edit

The patties used in the veggie burgers (as well as the vegan mayo) are all made in house. We had a chance to speak to Karen, the proprietor and she speaks so passionately about her food. The burgers were so tasty we ordered two more to go on our train ride!

Pros: Delicious, Affordable, Takes euros

Cons: Small - hard to move around with our bags

Great food near the train station/super friendly staff - Edit

The place is very small but cosy. You can get 3 different portion sizes, from which the biggest one costs around 5€. The lady was super nice and was smiling all the time. Food was very good and tasty. So if you arrive at the main train station for the first time and you are hungry, this is the best place to go.

Go there to taste fantastic "asian" vegan food - Edit

It's a cute and tiny place next to the Keleti station. Karens food is really tasty. I often go there to eat a daily menu, which is alwalys fantastic. I think i eat the most amazing seitan here. You can order coffes, smoothies and junk foods too. And you can buy some hummus or lentil chips and soft drinks.

Pros: cheap, some vegan option, friendly atmosphere

Cons: none

SO GOOD! - Edit

Came here late afternoon after a full day of travelling and no food. Within ten minutes of me arriving in Budapest I'd already ordered some veggie fried rice and seitan chicken strips. So nice! Tasted very healthy too which made such a pleasant change from my recent travels! Decent portions and good price, plus the owners are LOVELY!

good for a fast vegan meal - Edit

This place is nothing fancy, but it is a take-out place with about 6-8 seats for eating in. Kind family running the place offering a daily vegan meal (in different sizes, which I only noticed after I ordered!) but perfect if you are in a rush and need a vegan meal on your way to/from the train stn. It is right beside keleti train station, across the street from where a taxi would drop you off. It's a bit chilly as they do leave the door open (maybe hot in the summer?!) but I had the daily meal plus chai tea and I was satisfied and ready for my onward train journey.

Nice Staff Quick Lunch - Edit

For 1000 forints you get their daily plate. The food is different, but good. It wasn't that warm or amazing, but enjoyable. The staff was very nice! I would recommend if you are looking for a quick lunch!

Pros: friendly staff, quick

Great experience - Edit

First time we ate there we went for a take-away and it was so tasty and diverse that we came back for another lunch.

The menu of the day consisted both times of different components, amongst others homemade burgers made of veggies, crispy textured soy and flavorful tomato sauce.

We had a nice talk with the owner. She told us about her restaurant in Columbia and her mission to serve good vegan food to bring out veganism into the world.

We can only recommend this place and would definitely come back.

Pros: Decent food for very fair prices, Friendly owner, supportworthy

Cons: Small place

Mixed up feelings - Edit

I do agree that staff at this place are extremely friendly. However, I was curious to try their food and wasn't impressed: their sandwich could easily be made juicier, or more sophisticated, or just more appetizing... what I received belonged in a school canteen, but hey, it wasn't exactly expensive and you get what you pay for. In terms of "icy refreshers", they just had the standard fare of smoothies and the like. Mine was with acai, and it did the trick.

Lunch time Saviour - Edit

A small but lovely place almost next to Keleti railway station kept by really friendly people. A rich daily menu consisted of several things (Rice, tofu, beans, patty, salad...), was super delicious and cheap. The owner even offered to hold our baby so that we can eat. This place we'll keep going back to!

Pros: Rich variety, Excellent price/quality ratio

Cons: Short opening hours

Thoroughly enjoyed coming back here again & again - Edit

I was in Budapest for a week and was lucky to find this small Shop/Cafe/Restaraunt right next to where I was staying. They offer a selection of Vegan dishes as well as a changing daily special(which I always got and never left hungry or unsatisified) The owners were two lovely human beings who took interest in each of their clients and had discussions with both them and other diners whilst there.
One of the highlights of my trip in budapest.
Thank you

Pros: Great pricing, Very Friendly, Lovely Food

Cons: They don't speak Hungarian

Tasty food and very kind owners - Edit

This is a small bistro with 6-7 seats. Offers a mixed dish and a soup of the day that change everyday. It offers also sandwiches, hot dog and burges (all vegan!) and plant milks. You can see the photos of the previous menus on the facebook page. The menu usually consists of 5 items: rice/cous cous/pasta + vegetables + peas/lentils/+ vegetables cake/burger + soya/tofu/seitan. The dish is huge and very tasty. Don't worry if you don't see the food when you enter because they prepare the dish for you as you order. We took the menu of the day that consisted of cous cous with vegetables, lentils, vegetables burger, spicy soya meat and salad, delicious!! We tried also the burger and the sandwich and both were good and big. The lady that welcomes you speaks english and is very very friendly and kind and like to talk to customers. Inexpensive (1000 ft for a huge mixed dish, about 400/500 ft for the sandwich).

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly and kind staff, Inexpensive

Nice surprise - Edit

This tiny food store/restaurant is located very near to Keleti train station. Not what we expected at all. We thought it would be considerably bigger. But what is more important is that it is a real vegan eatery. The lovely oriental couple that runs it are very warm and welcoming and will speak English to you.
They have a daily menu and hot dogs too.
We took a plate of the daily offer each and we LOVED it.
If you are catching a train there you must take a half hour to visit them. You will not regret it. :-)

Pros: Very friendly, Very delicious, Very affordable

Cons: not enough seating
