Great Vegan Ramen Options - Edit
Had Mendokoro’s Vegan Tantanmen and it was so delicious! I will definitely come back to try their Vegan Shio and Shoyu ramen.
Read moreThey currently only serve 3 types of vegan ramen but no vegan side dishes which is a bummer - but I hope they expand their vegan menu in the future.

Three great vegan ramen options - Edit
If you can put up with the long queue, then this place is definitely worth checking out. They have three vegan options for ramen. They used to have vegan egg but they no longer have that. Definitely a great option for vegans in Bgc

the most favorite vegan ramen everrr - Edit
our family's go-to whenever in makati 🫶
Read morei always get the vegan shoyu!! umami broth, impressive mock meat, chewy noodles, the best vegan comfort food 🤤
since its a ramen bar, they also cook and prepare the food right in front of you! so amazing to see the efficient dynamic among the chefs and staff 🥹
super instagramable too! the interior has modern and sleek ambiance 💗
the kicker tho is their service! the servers are always accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure you have then most comfortable experience 🥰 its also open til 11 pm!!
just a couple downsides: its super expensive 🥲 and their other vegan options aren't really as good as the vegan shoyu 💔 they also still use disposable chopsticks instead of reusable ones, and they dont allow take out 🥹 all of these are fine with my fam tho!
will come back for more, as always 🥳

Pricey comfort ramen - Edit
Mendokoro makes a tasty ramen and thus, is always crowded. They have 3 vegan ramens, but unfortunately not much else in the way of vegan options. (They may have edamame but a premium price.) This is par for the course in BGC where most places only serve 1-2 options.
Read moreThe Shoyu (560₱) is our family favorite here, then the Tantanmen (540₱). Both have rich broths and the portions are reasonably filling, but most other diners eat a ramen and a number of other small sides. I’d probably do the same if non-ramen, vegan options were available.

Rich, flavorful vegan ramen - Edit
So happy they introduced a vegan line up. I have tried the tantanmen and shio so far. The tantanmen has vegan mince, a rich and creamy broth with a hint of coconut milk, topped with Bok Choy. The shio is lighter but very flavorful. It has a vegan chashu that has a ground meat texture. I like that it is topped with vegan aji tamago.
Read moreUpdate: finally tried all 3, had the shoyu recently. It's a creamy kind of shoyu, not clear. Broth is good. As with shio, it has chashu (I'm thinking now it tastes like beyond) and vegan aji tamago.
Verdict: my favorite is the tantanmen!
