Mendocino Farms

This is one of those places that the whole family will love. I am a vegan but my husband & son are not but this place makes us all happy. Their sandwiches are so good that I still think about the vegan bahn mi & TLT (tempeh bacon, lettuce & tomato) ALL THE TIME! Unfortunately, they don't have a location in Long Beach so I don't get there as often as I'd like.

I love a good sandwich and Mendocino Farms knows how to make one! Both, the falafel wrap and Banh Mi are delicious sandwiches and filling. I miss their hippy bbq blt though- that was their best sandwich in my opinion.
Their salads are also pretty yummy.

I've been to this location several times whenever I have worked downtown. The vegan items are marked separately on the menu and there is sometimes a vegan special as well (sign up for their emails to know what it is). Many of the side salads are vegan as well. If you just walk in, you fill out an order form noting what items you want, but I highly recommend calling in your order and then just picking it up as the line gets very long at lunchtime. The sandwiches are very good and do occasionally change on the menu. It would be a fantastic place if all vegan, but alas, it's just a few vegan options although the financial district needs all the vegan options it can get.
