Organic vegetarian cafe specializes in simple food, since 2014. Gluten-free and dairy free options and cakes. New owners as of Aug 2015, and no longer veg.
Meme is a small vegetarian café, which only has two tables but also offers take-away and delivery. The staff member I met was very friendly and spoke very good English, and whilst there were no vegan sandwiches on the menu that day, she allowed me to choose fillings and then prepared one from scratch. I think actually that all sandwiches are freshly made as the kitchen adjoins the seating area and there were no pre-made ones on display. I had a sweet potato, tomato, hummous and rocket sandwich, and a vegan apple and walnut cupcake, costing 7.50 Euros to take-away – both were delicious and very filling – deinitely would return.
Visited Brussels for new year with my partner. Arrived too late the first day to eat at meme as it shuts at 6.30, however we made it the second day for some dinner. As most of the food was sold out on the menu from a busy day the owner offered to make me a fresh warm vegan wrap with aubergine tomatoes and chicory with oil and some salad. For dessert the vegan cookies weren't available however we were offered a lovely vegan brownie which was warmed up. The drinks on offer were good for vegans with the option of almond milk or soya milk. Unfortunately the cafe was shut for new year so we couldn't make another trip. We have recommended this to family and if we make another trip to Brussels we would definitely return. The food is also really good value around €8 for main and dessert, very clean, welcoming service and very friendly!
Vegan options are limited in Brussels and we were glad to find this cafe. We enjoyed a bowl of granola/cereal with fruit and toast with jam for breakfast. We returned for lunch for sandwiches with hummus, avocado, pesto, and veggies on either bread or in a wrap. The food was all very good and the guy working there was very nice and spoke great English.
This cafe is small with only 2 tables, but service is very friendly and the food delicious! I had a tasty sandwich with roasted tomatoes, sweet potato, veggies and home made curry sauce (normally it's tomato, avocado and sauce, but as the avocados weren't sufficiently ripe yet, the owner proposed an alternative, which I appreciated!). A vegan sandwich with anything other than hummus is in any case amazing in Brussels. There was tasty almont latte (no soy milk I think) and the vegan brownie was INSANELY good. Great option for veggies and vegans in central Brussels!

Nice food but.. - Edit
Nice little place, good atmosphere and staff are very nice. Only downside really is that the portion sizes are like that of a child
