We loved the Holy Shiitake Pie veganized. We were also very impressed with the Pacific Rim veganized with vegan cheese and balsamic tempeh instead of meat. There are some yummy vegan options here, get creative with your orders 😁

Pesto sauce is NOT vegan! - Edit
I love Mellow Mushroom and have been several times since this incident (have not had any other issues) but my first time in one I was told that their pesto pizza sauce is vegan... later on I found out from a different location that it has dairy in it. Just FYI if anyone tries to tell you it's vegan, it's not. Other than that experience they use Follow Your Heart vegan cheese for their vegan pizzas/calzones etc. and it's pretty good!!!!

Their vegan cheese pizza is great with lots of veg toppings & they have gluten free crust prepared in a separate celiac safe area. It’s great to be able to dig into a vegan pizza and have nonvegan peeps see that vegans aren’t missing out on anything!!

Salad for starter (minus cheese) was nice and had a tasty balsamic dressing. Large make your own pizza using Follow Your Heart vegan cheese which melted amazingly - you wouldn't be able to tell it was vegan! Large pizza fed us for dinner and breakfast the next day.

After finding out Mellow Mushroom had vegan options I knew I had to try it! I ordered a plain gluten free cheese pizza with vegan cheese and it was delicious! I ended up eating the whole thing! 🍕 I know it wasn't the original crust but I loved the crispiness of the GF crust! It was a little pricey for the cheese (I think it was around $4.00) but worth it!

When we are traveling in the south, we love finding Mellow Mushrooms. The mega veggie pizza with Daiya is our staple and we are never disappointed! We also love the hummus. Every mellow mushroom is well versed in vegan friendly options, this one was no exception.

Want to eat out and go for pizza with your meat eating friends? This is where you will want to go. It's the only place around I know of that can make a vegan pizza without asking to omit the cheese. They also have gluten free crust. But be warned, if you go gluten free, vegan cheese, and start adding vegetables on the pizza for toppings, the price will go up pretty quick. I didn't go crazy and ended up with an $18 pizza!

My husband loves this place but I have to say that I just like it - mostly because I was never a fan of "regular" pizza. I like gourmet pizza and thin crust types where I can really taste the toppings more than the bread. However, if you are in that category or just like all sorts of pizza, it really is a good place considering it has vegan cheese and TONS of toppings and you can eat with non-veg friends as well. They offer outdoor seating as well as indoor so all around, a good choice for an informal get-together.

We ordered a medium sized pizza half cheese/half tofu-artichoke, for $14.00 it was well worth the price... this place draws folks from all age groups and all backgrounds. It was clean and very busy, (I'm sure being Saturday night helped) Having our roots in Chicago, we know a good pizza, and this was good... especially the crust, our kids even ate it, soft and chewy, not dry and hard like so many other places. We also noticed how good the hot sandwiches looked as they breezed by the table, If only I knew how this place got such an abnormal name, I'm sure there is a good story behind it.

The best pizza you will ever have. My bf and myself go there all the time and order the vegan mega veggie, hoagies, and hummus dip. Just make sure you tell them no butter, no feta, and no parm. to make sure you get the vagan version.
