Great takeout pizza with the family - Edit
I ordered a build-your-own large vegan pizza with mushrooms, garlic, roasted tomatoes, and pepperoncinis. They use the Follow-your-heart vegan cheese, and it was delicious!

Good to have vegan pizza! - Edit
I’ve been to locations elsewhere in the country so I knew I’d like the vegan cheese for the pizza. Others have more extensive vegan options (eg hoagies) so it’s a shame this didn’t have that. Love tempeh as a pizza topping option though!

I love Mellow Mushroom, this is my favorite one in the RVA area. The staff at every location (except short pump) is so knowledgeable and always asks if you are ordering because of an allergy. MM recently switched over to using Follow Your Heart cheese which is fantastic and so much better than Daiya! You can build your own pizza with any toppings or just convert the Veg Out pizza to being vegan for a more economical option. Also worth noting - the gluten free crust is vegan! There are salad options as well but only one dressing option, the oil and vinegar, is vegan.

The buffalo tempeh pizza is absolutely incredible...make sure to ask for it without butter/parm on the crust.
