Surprisingly Great! - Edit
Honestly was not expecting too much as the menu was a bit confusing. Turns out our server was very informed and let us know about the options. Can make your own so I did have one of the options with mushrooms (forgot the actual name) he told us we could have tofu or tempe with any of their sauces marinated. Of course as long as they are vegan.

Pros: More vegan options than listed on menus , Friendly knowledgeable servers

No vegan bread - Edit
This location told me none of the bread is vegan for sandwiches. Maybe they thought i meant gluten free 🤷♀️?

Hands down— best vegan pizza I’ve had yet - Edit
I’ve had a lot of different vegan pizza and this one has been my FAVORITE! We were passing through on a road trip and decided to stop. It was so worth it. I do wish it came with more tomatoes for the price (see pictures) but overall, I have zero complaints regarding taste and texture. Get this pizza!!!

Delicious pizza - Edit
I got a cheese (Follow Your Heart) pizza with mushrooms and olives. It was delicious. The cheese was superb. I think this might be the best cheese on a pizza I’ve ever had.
Read moreThe spot was a bit grimy but I went right before they closed so that may explain it.
You can be seated like a restaurant, or get take-out in the back hallway. There is a bar area.
I will be returning if I can help it!
Pros: Vegan cheese and toppings, Cool statues and fake subway car, Stick it to the Chic-Fil-A across the street

Great Food! Lots of Vegan Options - Edit
You can get a great meal at Mellow Mushroom; especially for a town that is a bit short on vegan options! They have vegan cheese and you can make their calzones or pizzas vegan. They have tofu and tempeh too!

Best Restaurant Food I've Had Since Becoming a Vegan - Edit
I ordered the tofu hoagie with Daiya, no mayonnaise, and no onions. The tofu was a little softer than I would've preferred. But, other than that, the sandwich was pretty awesome and very flavorful. I've heard some bad things about Daiya. I'd never had it before, but it wasn't bad on this sandwich, in my opinion. They seemed to put enough on the sandwich to give it a cheesy-ish flavor without overdoing it. I'd definitely order this again, maybe with tempeh next time. (But I haven't tried tempeh yet, and I'm a little scared.)

Pros: They know how to handle vegan orders, Cheaper than some fast food and so much better., Good food for vegans and non-vegans alike
Cons: The tofu was too soft, The wait was a little long but so worth it.

cheesy pizza - Edit
Once again this restaurant was in the perfect location for a stop on our route up the I95 so we decided to give it another try.
Read moreThis time we ordered a vegan pizza with Portobello mushrooms, tofu, and sun-dried tomatoes. The cheese was Daiya. My husband ordered the portobello Reuben. We still rate this restaurant 3.5. Everything was good but we've had better. The vegan crust was thin which I love but we are not huge fans of Daiya cheese. We prefer cashew cheeses.
Mellow mushroom
We just happened upon this place when we stopped for gas when traveling on the 95 highway. (Thanks to the Happy Cow app)
The place is very bright and hip looking. They have many clearly marked vegetarian and vegan items. They offer a vegan gluten free ancient grain crust and they have Daiya cheese. They also have hoagies with tofu or tempeh.
We shared a Holy Shitake pizza for $24 and it was huge. We all thought the pizza had too much cheese and not enough mushrooms. If someone loves cheese this would be perfect for them. Perhaps it would be better if we had ordered something else and asked for less cheese.
My son had the kids meal of French bread with tomato sauce and cheese which I was happy came with apple slices. The portion was huge and he liked it.
I would rate this place 3.5
