Their vegan cheese isn’t great - Edit
I really loved Mellow before going vegan, but unfortunately their vegan cheese isn’t the best. When baked in a calzone it was super oily (and they recommended when I ordered to get half vegan cheese and half regular cheese to avoid that, which confused me because I’m getting the vegan option for a reason????) and just didn’t taste like much overall. If you get a pizza it’s probably best to just go with an olive oil/marinara base and toppings with no cheese. The service is usually pretty good but this particular time when I went it was empty and our waiter still didn’t pay much attention to us, eating at a table with other employees where I couldn’t get their attention without feeling like I was interrupting their meal.

Newly vegan - Edit
Dropped in on road trip home. Long wait for a slow night. Ordered first tempeh and there were options on flavor. Chose buffalo. Chose vegan cheese and some veggies.Immediately upon delivery of pizza waitress volunteered that it looked like my tempeh lacked much buffalo and offered more buffalo sauce. I asked if there was any red sauce under the PLETHORA of vegan cheese. She said yes it was under it. Turned out there was none. She said it was supposed to have it. So it was basically cheese bread. They didn’t charge us for it and brought me some sauce for dipping as I had not time for another long wait for pizza. Waitress and manager were very accommodating and nice and comped the pizza . Will try again in my hometown. Will be sure to ask for lighter amount of vegan cheese and regular sauce !
