Only a few vegan options - Edit
Stopped at Mellow Mushroom for lunch looking forward to a good vegan pizza but unfortunately they no longer have tempeh. They took the tempeh sandwich off the menu. They show tempeh as a pizza topping but still don’t have tempeh. I’m not sure if it’s only this location or all. They do have dairy free cheese. They put a little too much on so the pizza can be a little gummy tasting. The staff is very friendly and helpful plus the patio is pet friendly. Cool place, I may go to a MM again.

The food is delicious here, and being able to have a vegan calzone in Texas is always a wonderful, rare experience.
Read moreIt's pretty great when you get a pizza or calzone! My partner didn't particularly enjoy his burger, so pass on that. The hoagie was tempeh and cheese on bread. No other toppings. The tempeh hoagie was good but dry and underwhelming comparatively to the rest of the foods I've had at Mellow Mushroom. Stick to the pizzas and calzones if you like good food.
The mixed drinks aren't that good at this location, so stick to waters or refillable drinks if you need to.
The San Antonio location is certainly better in decor, food, and understanding of vegan foods.
Service is always great!

They now have multiple menus with different features. I only looked at the vegan menu which was on top of the stack they gave me.

I just found out that they don't only have vegan pizzas, but vegan hoagies as well and it was reallyyy good. I ordered the tempeh hoagie with a side of tater tots, but i guess they messed up and I got mushrooms instead and was surprised by how good it was. I also didn't know how big a hoagie was so I got a whole but there's an option of getting half. Definitely going back, this is the best mellow mushroom in tx.
