Okonomiyaki yum - Edit
First time we came it was closed for no apparent reason (we checked Facebook) but we were very happy to find it open the second time! Very small, and not too comfortable at the counter but still a great meal. The Natto Okonomiyaki was sooo so good and the set meal dinner was great, too. The owner and other customers were very friendly, too!

Wonderfully different - Edit
My first time to find a Japanese style vegan place, I wasreally happy. I sat at the counter and the lady making the food was really friendly in starting a conversation and did a wonderful job at understanding my very limited Japanese which made me feel good too. I'm not sure how much English she knows, she only spoke a few words to me, but the menu is in Japanese and English so if you don't know any Japanese you can just read the menu and point, you'll be fine, the staff were lovely.

i love megumi! - Edit
I loved it here! It's entirely vegan with vegan dessert options and organic beer and wine. We both had the veggie gyoza and they were super delicious and filling. We also enjoyed a slice of pecan cake for desert. The atmosphere was really nice tho we were early so the only customers for a while. The owner was really nice to us and explained menu options - she wanted to help us out with other vegan venues about town. It's a small, quaint place but really really worth visiting if you can.

vegan interpretations of Japanese favourites - Edit
The place is cosy, entirely run by one hardworking woman. We got the okonomiyaki (savoury pancake), delicious chewy gyoza, and brown rice ramen with wild veges. You could feel your health points increasing! So satisfying.

Wonderful - Edit
Came here for an early dinner at a very quiet time. Perhaps at other times it can get a bit crowded because it is quite a small and narrow space. Just one lady was preparing everything. Ordered the potato salad, okara nuggets and vegan ramen. All were prepared excellently, and probably the potato salad was my pick of the bunch as it hit the spot on a hot summer's day. There are heaps of options on the menu and everything feels authentic and made with love.

The Experience I Was Looking For! - Edit
If I never had the HappyCow App, I would've never found you, Megumi!
Read moreBeing welcomed by guests and the owner was fantastic! The owner was very humble, smart, friendly and a great chef! The location was very small, somewhat out of the way, with intimate bar-style dining experience. We spent our time chatting with the locals (to which we do not know Japanese very well), but we overcame those barriers with sign language and words we did know), who even recommended more vegan/vegetarian places to look for when continuing our Japan journey. One of the customers said she really enjoyed having us there! It was the cutest thing ever!
The potato salad was great, the gyoza and miso soup were on par also. The RAMEN is a MUST-HAVE, not having one since I've become vegan, this was a great jump back into it! After sipping down my last bit of ramen, I was incredibly satisfied and could eat no more!
I've enjoyed my visit so much, that I'm very likely to return to enjoy one more delicious meal, before leaving Osaka.
Thank you again!
Pros: Intimate and Cozy Locale, Incredible Food, Friendly and Welcoming Staff and Patrons
Cons: Portion Sizes For Price, Might Be Hard To Find

Delicious! - Edit
This place was delicious and the service was just right. The chef shared information about the foods we were not familiar with. Her English is limited, but way beyond my grasp of the Japanese language, so I really appreciated her patience and taking the time to communicate with us.

* Make sure you go to the right place. Google maps was sending us 40 minutes to the other side of town. Take the JR Tōzai Line to Ōsakatemmangū Station, which might also be called Minami-morimachi Station.
Pros: Delicious Food, Friendly Service, Learning Experience

Authentic Japanese Food - Vegan! - Edit
This is the perfect place to go if you want a real Japanese restaurant / bar experience, but are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free! The menu includes lots of things that are otherwise difficult to find fully vegan in Japan, like gyoza and ramen. The portions are a little bit small for the price, but the ingredients seem sourced with attention. The main seating area downstairs includes only bar seating, but there are two rooms upstairs with tables that are available for groups.

Wonderful place!!! - Edit
The food was amazing!! I had the ramen and okonomiyaki and the plum wine (which was homemade and far superior to any I have had before) everything was so good! The restaurant was small with only bar seating, but that makes it even better because it enables you to meet the other patrons, who were lovely people and whom I would love to run into again :)
