We visited Southport for a short break and had breakfast here every day. Breakfasts are very filling and set you up for the day.
Read moreThere's a good amount of choice on the menu and everything is made with care and attention to detail. The owner is very friendly and helpful and an enthusiastic vegan who is keen to educate people about vegan food.
Revisited in January 2024 and now permanently closed sadly 😢

Close this Saturday lunchtime. Have now found they are closed for good as a cafe (post on their Facebook 2nd September). Such a shame as the menu look amazing.

Super disappointed to visit on a Saturday lunchtime when HappyCow and megafauna website says they are open. No opening times on door, so no idea if permanently closed or we were just unlucky

Small intimate cafe - Edit
I had the chicken and pesto toastie with loaded cheese and bacon fries. The toastie was really nice, very filling and came with a side of coleslaw which I’m always a big fan of. The fries were delicious also, the bacon was the best vegan bacon I’ve ever had. The service was amazing. Only thing I would say is it is quite small with not so many tables and being the only fully vegan place in Southport we could find I’d probably book as it does fill up fast especially on a weekend/bank holiday. All in all I would definitely visit again.

Mega Awesome Megafauna! - Edit
Such a gem of a place for vegan and GF food.
Read moreWe ordered a mega breakfast and breakfast omelette - OMG both were delicious. The omelette was light and fluffy, and the mega breakfast delivered on all levels. Hot chocolate was really good as was the coffee.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating - brought water and some vegan dog treats for our trio of dogs.
We bought some cake to take out - need to walk off the breakfasts before we tackle it!
Such a great experience and the only downside is that we live over 200 miles away so can't make this a regular haunt!
Pros: Dog friendly, 100% vegan with GF options, Great customer service

Vegan omelette 🤤🤤 - Edit
Spoilt for choice at this plant based eatery! With sandwiches, toasties, breakfasts including tofu scramble, soups, smoothies, shakes, iced coffees.
Read moreI opted for vegan egg omlette stuffed w/ mushrooms cheese and pesto and it was mindblowing! Chips were perfectly seasoned and homemade coleslaw was lush. 😍🤩 partner ordered sausage chips and beans and it came barely warm in a tiny bowl so if ordering off menu maybe specify it isn't for a child 😆😂😂

Nice staff, nice food. I had the breakfast omellete - it was more of a pancake really, but still really good - they weren't stingy with the filling! So much "cheese"/"sausage"/"bacon"! :-)

Lovely all vegan place - Edit
I visited here for the first time today, I loved the decor and there was plenty choice on the menu. Decided to go for a toastie with chips. Went for the 'Feta, spinach and tomato' toastie that was served on a ciabatta and came with a side salad and coleslaw. The cheese was very nice!

The food here all looked amazing - found it so difficult to choose! The breakfast omelette was delicious (it was maybe more like a pancake than an omelette). The banana and peanut butter milkshake was amazing too. Highly recommend.

Favourite cafe in Southport - Edit
My favourite place to eat in all of Southport. Their golden houmous is unreal and the best I’ve ever tasted. Do yourself a favour and try the falafel and mango chutney sandwich with a side of houmous. They have a great selection of loose leaf herbal teas, and a range of homemade cakes with good portion sizes. Staff are super friendly and really passionate about their service. Inexpensive compared to other lunch options, especially for a vegan place.
