Super authentisches Essen!

Große Auswahl auch für Vegetarier, sehr gutes Essen und ein liebes Team! Es ist ein bisschen laut direkt neben der Straße und es gibt viele Gelsen, Gelsenspray mitnehmen😉 Preis ist gut!

Pros: Auswahl, Geschmack , Personal

Cons: Gelsen, Lautstärke

Bang for your buck curry

Good value for money and overall nice but not in the god-tier curry domain as people on Tripadvisor seem to think IMO

Tasty rice and curry

The ambience does not look very appealing from the start. But it is really clean inside. The owners are super friendly. The food is really tasty with interesting local flavours. Will definitely come here again.

Pros: Tasty food, Friendly owners, Clean

I went there, looking for more protein-rich food. Brought a tofu-block from the foodcity, and asked if they can make something out of it. It was amazing, they didn't charge anything for it, but I left extra tip. Worked 3 times now already, and the chef and waiter know me already 🤩😍

Aren’t their peas and lentils not protein-rich enough? :)

Just my POV: A question - would you ever bring some supermarket food to a restaurant anywhere in Europe, or let’s say, Germany, and ask them to cook it for you? Honestly, I don’t believe so. I just find it really disrespectful and impolite to bring some outside food and ask local restaurants to cook it for you, which of course they will do, whether it is to retain you as a customer, avoid a bad Google review, or just to please you, because they are the ones who have been suffering a lot recently and every dollar matters to them. So they can’t just say “no” to a foreigner. But from my point of view it feels like you just use your privilege as a foreigner. Especially, if you answered “no” to my first question, then what makes you think it is okay to do so here?

I did not mean to sound rude but rather I tried to explain why I would not do it :)

No problem, I understand where you're coming from. To answer your question - yes, I would do the same in Germany or any other western country, because sometimes it's hard to get to the right protein-carbs-fat ratio as a vegan and you have to rely on people willing to help out, especially when you don't have a kitchen. Europe is very strictly regulated in terms of foods in restaurants so they might say no because of the risks involved, but not because they are more chill about loosing customers, I don't think so. I truly believe to have given the owners a very easy opportunity to say no, making sure they know I'm absolutely ok with them refusing and I am still going to stay and eat at their place without the tofu. I also left the tip in the amount of another rice and curry dish to make sure it's worth the extra effort for them. I tried to show how much I appreciate their effort and made sure to leave a good review to help their business. Based on what they said and how they acted, I think both parties were very happy with the deal in the end. So I do believe that the same action can be done in very different ways and therefore either be a happy thing for everyone involved or a forced and unpleasant thing, like you've described. Hopefully, I'm not mistaken and this one did make them happy just as it did make me happy. And yes, I went there at least 6 times since then, so they did manage to retain a happy customer :)

Good food

This place had amazing reviews. The food was good for sure and very good value for money. They don’t sell alcohol, for those who like a glass of red with dinner, just to know. The popadoms were incredible!

Pros: Cheap - good value for money

Cons: No alcohol

Simple but very tasty patato curry

The menu includes some vegan options (which are indicated as vegetarian). Just ask the staff in case you not sure about the ingredients.
I had a nice potato and coconut curry with rice.

Pros: Very friendly staff. The food is reasonably priced
