Closed down

This cafe has now closed. The staff on reception were unsure when or if it would reopen.
I hope it reopen soon as a vegan or vegetarian cafe.

Great find for Vegan options.... Reasonable too!

We came across this cafe while at Liverpool One. It was tucked away in a quiet location.
The service was friendly and helpful. The cook discussed choices with us. They use Linda McCartney sausages in their vegan breakfast and d/f butter to cook mushrooms and for toast.

Clean, spacious, reasonably priced.

A nice touch, was having a table that encouraged people who didn't know each other to sit together.... If they wanted company.

Lovely little cafe

I went to Meeting House Cafe for the first time last week.

The vegan menu included:
Hummus & warm crusty bread £3.95
Jacket potato with hummus £3.50
Jacket potato with beans £3.50
Sausage & tomato toastie £4.20
Cheese & tomato toastie £4.20
3 salads & hummus £4.90
3 salads & falafel £5.50

I had the Cheese & tomato toastie for breakfast and it was delicious! I was hesitant about going to a religious centre to eat, but it was just lovely.

Delicious food in central Liverpool

I really like this new place which is in a perfect, central location close to the main shopping streets in the city.

Good value breakfasts - I had lovely cheese on toast and my partner went for poached eggs. The toast was perfect. Can't wait to go back and try the full vegetarian breakfast.

On another (lunchtime) visit, there was a nice choice of fresh, interesting salads and hot meals such as risotto cakes or stuffed peppers. Good coffee. Everything is well-cooked, nicely presented and with very fresh ingredients.

Leaflets there explained the place is run on 'social values' and staff are paid a living wage, for example.

Excellent value for money

Lovely Cafe with Plenty Vegan Options

Meeting House Cafe is situated inside the Liverpool Quaker Meeting House and provides vegetarian and vegan food and is a perfect place for a light lunch.

There is a small courtyard to the rear, with outside seating and you can enter the cafe from here, as well as off School Lane itself.

There was a clearly marked board with loads of vegan options and I even spotted a vegan and glutenfree Victoria sponge cake in the chiller cabinet. I had a huge jacket potato with houmous and roast peppers, it was delicious.

Definitely worth a visit for vegans in Liverpool.

Pros: Vegan options are available, Clearly marked vegan options

Weird

I believe it's like a coffeecorner in some sort of (religious/meditation) ... not so cosy.

Hardly anything vegan (the girl didn't even know well what vegan was).

The soup was nice, but the spaghetti and couscous salad was dry.

Would not come back.

Brill

One of my favourite places. It is small but the food is great. There is not so much of a wide selection but what they do make is nice. The service has always been brilliant and it is a lovelt place to it.
