Fantastic food. We had the pesto cheese spinach dip with foccacia to share and the whipped feta gnocchi, Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and the French onion fries and everything was fantastic. Our waiter was great and they had a great selection of fancy non alcoholic drinks. So impressed. Will definitely be back.

Read moreThe restaurant is gorgeous, just so gorgeous, I love the playful deep red over tones dispersed throughout. From the moment you enter the restaurant, with just the ambiance and decor alone, your dining experience is elevated. But don't worry, it doesn't stop there, it just continues to get better. Between all of us, we ordered the Protein Power! Skillet, the Lobster Benny (not meant to be a version of faux lobster, just to avoid any confusion), a side of Sunny Side Up Yo! Egg, and an order of Pistachio Créme French Toast.
The French Toast dish was super rich and decadent and so unique with the Pistachio Créme. The Benny and Power Skillet, respectively with various combinations of some or all of the following .. Poached Yo! Egg, Cabbage, Arugula, Black Beans, Tempeh, both including Potatoes with a creamy hollandaise sauce and so much more, each dish having a great depth of flavor, texture and ingredients, leaving you craving for each next bite. With the Lobster Benny, you can really make that "one more bite" magic happen .. if you so desire, by ordering a double size instead of a single.
Finally, there's the side of Yo! Egg Sunny Side Up. This really goes a long way towards capturing the spirit and essence of the namesake. One ** warning ** and word to the wise, and you'd be wise to heed my warning here lol. If you decide to order the side of Sunny Side Up, you'd do best to approach this dish with the utmost of caution by breaking the yolk tenderly and thoughtfully, which I say because this is the vegan yolk that *will* fight you back and .. cover a good distance (in launch and upon landing) in doing so lol. If you don't believe me, look at the remnants of the vicious attack that was launched at my smiley face shirt. I assure you, the shirt was clean and not stained pre-yolk attack lmao. In fact, the attack was so focused and on point, rumor has it .. it caused my lovely smiley face to melt as a consequence.😄:P

Quick, January 2025 update to earlier review below: I stopped by during Happy Hour (3-5 pm, 8 pm-closing), as a reward for an accomplishment, and had a perfect combo of ginger house-made soda and poutine made with miso gravy and cheezes. Just what I wanted! Pleasant service too.

Cronut stuffed with coconut Bavarian creme - wow, talk about decadent!
Classic Benny - very good meal with two English-muffin halves, hash-brown potatoes and green salad.
Comfort Bowl daily special - I object to fruit in my savoury dishes (like pineapple on pizza), so I wasn’t the biggest fan of the bowl that included chunks of pineapple in a good bowl of rice, mushrooms, gravy, red pepper, a Beyond patty and a vegan “fried egg”(!).
I’ve enjoyed the spritzers and lemonades I’ve had so far. Some days I find the music too loud. The menu is large, and I will return.
They are graciously serving as the pickup point for Vancouver-based Vegan Supply orders.

Having gotten a recommendation from the server at their sister restaurant in downtown Vancouver the day before, I knew I had to give their 'brunch till 3pm' menu a try while on a 1-day tour of Victoria. I'm so glad I did! The in-house created tofu egg patty, topped with their very own cashew-based hollandaise sauce, was excellent! So was their coffee (I'm beginning to think Canada has the intel on where to procure the best coffee in the world!)

My friend and I had breakfast here quite late in the day, on a Saturday, after a long drive. It was kind of fun to order an "justegg" and "beyond breakfast sausage" sandwich on a gluten free bun. I haven't had a junk food breakfast like that in years. The coffee creamer was amazing too: an oat and coconut milk blend.

So good we visited twice while staying in Victoria! All the food was good. Only down sides were it was really cold because of the AC, and the first time the service was slow but the waiter recognised this and apologised before we said anything and offered a free round of soft drinks.

I am so glad my husband and I took the time to ride the bus here. We were staying by ferry in Victoria, thought about walking here but it seemed a bit far and too much traffic. Did however figured out that we could take the bus and did easy from where we were staying. This restaurant is soooo good!!! something for everyone, my husband always likes a burger, I prefer salad. Both meals were excellent and enough for a few meals.

The lovely server was so perky and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was calm, bright and welcoming. The salad was so vibrant and so fresh, even though my non-vegan sister thought it ‘too green’. I’m very happy there’s a vegan restaurant that’s popular in this city and doing well. But I’ve eaten here 3x and each time I’ve found the food to be bordering on bland to be honest. It’s not bad but I really don’t get the hype. Considering how insanely expensive eating out is these days, I’d prefer to go other places.

Food I’ve tried:
-Poutine with fried onion:
One of the worst things I’ve ever eaten out at a restaurant quite frankly. Tasted like very salty soy sauce and cheese over bland fries for like 18$.
-Mac n Cheese with Buffalo Cauliflower:
Again, just really bland. A lot of the pasta didn’t have sauce and it was just plain. The cauliflower was basically just spicey and not particularly sweet or barbecuey.
-Mediterranean burger:
Good and I think a pretty good value since you get it with some fries and a little salad. The burger is just your average veggie patty with tzatziki. It doesn’t taste particularly fancy and I would never crave to order it. But if my other vegan friends want to go to Meet, it’s a nice enough experience.
Also the menu is more geared towards meat alternatives than legumes or veggies, so if you’re not big on the meat alts, the menu doesn’t have a lot to offer.

My husband and I stopped in here the other day while in Victoria. We hadn’t been to this location before, but have dined at the Yaletown location on the mainland.

The hostess greeted us promptly upon our arrival, and was very friendly. Our server wasn’t very friendly and seemed a bit detached but perhaps was just having an off day. We still received our food and drinks as ordered.
The food was satisfactory, although both my husband and I found our entrees to be on the heavier side (Noodle-y Thai bowl and Meet Burger). We ordered the Sweet Chili Cauliflower as an appetizer and both really enjoyed this. We’ve tried similar cauliflower appetizers at several other restaurants, and this was unique in how large the pieces were. We would order this again. The menu is quite big, and I really like that they offer a variety of different options. This is a great place if you’re not sure what exactly you’re in the mood to eat.
