Great place for vegan poutin!

Nice restaurant that, among others, sells many variations on poutin. Very tasty! Though a bit on the heavy and fat side for me (I had the Nashville poutin). Also had a good milkshake. Not all types of poutin were available when I visited. I hoped to try some fried oreos but they were also out of those.

Pros: Poutin!, Milk shakes, Friendly staff

Cons: Maybe not so healthy, Some dishes unavailable

Amazing!!

When I would travel to Montreal this was always the first stop!! Now that I live here it’s an effort to not go daily lol. The poutine is amazing.
Ps the milkshake is to die for.

Comfort food

A fun and chill place to get some Americans type comfort food. Fried Oreos, right? Everything was vegan. Although I'm not a fan of cheese curds, theirs was surprisingly good (if you like cheese curds) because they source it from a small place in Canada. The service was cool, my thanks to my server Teya.

Ok

We had a nice experience, though they were having difficulty keeping up with tables and we waited a bit longer than we would have liked at each of the service points. We noted other tables waiting throughout their meals, as well.
Kiddo enjoyed the corn dogs "pogos" and the Mac n cheese. The Nashville "chicken" sandwich was a lackluster and I didn't enjoy the slaw. The tofu was cut a bit thick for my liking and the flavor was a little lacking. We ordered fries, but didn't receive them.
Sadly, all of our stomachs were upset the rest of the day.

Great find for reasonably healthy meal

It can be hard to eat healthy when traveling, especially when it comes to vegetables. We walked into Maynard on a rainy day because it was the closest vegan spot to our hotel and were quite pleased. The service was super friendly and helpful. I got a BBQ sandwich and cole slaw, my friend got the ranch wrap and we shared some tater tots. The cole slaw was well dressed but not the usual mayonnaise dressing, which was a pleasant surprise. The tots were well seasoned and we both enjoyed our sandwiches. My one suggestion for improvement would be that while the bun for my sandwich was good, the top of it was a little hard to bite into so it made eating a little messy. A slightly softer bun would work better for the sandwich. Obviously that's a very minor "complaint." Overall, we were very happy with our meal, the cuteness of the spot and the excellent service. It's also more reasonably priced than a lot of places in the neighborhood.

Quick and filling!

I asked for recommendations and the staff was very kind in offering their suggestions! I ended up getting the wrap (wrap ranch I think ?). I ordered in person and it came out quickly. It didn’t knock my socks off but was tasty with the crispy tofu! I would definitely try more items!

Pros: Good vibes, Quick service, Kind staff

So freakin’ yummy!

This was my first time visiting Maynard and I’m glad I did! The restaurant has a great vibe and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

We ordered the classic poutine, bénédictine country, and tofu Nashville sandwich. All were amazing. Highly recommend the poutine - the gravy was so flavourful and the cheese curds melted in your mouth.

Definitely a place to add to your Montréal vegan bucket list. Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: Great selection, Quick service, Good location

Very cute place, friendly staff. Best and most authentic plant-based poutine I've ever had, will absolutely bring international friends and family. The buffalo wings are delicious as well. Awesome find!

Great poutine, wonderful server, extremely warm

Both the person I was with and I got poutine on a hot summer day.

It was hotter inside than outside (at least 95F / 35C), and everyone in the restaurant was sweating buckets -- we almost left because we felt bad asking kitchen staff to make food and asking the server to bring it to us. The server was excellent and brought us multiple bottles of water to deal with the heat. We ended up staying. The poutine was truly excellent -- good texture, amazing taste -- and far exceeded any other vegan poutine I've eaten or made. Even in the boiling weather we ate it all and practically licked the plates clean it was so good.

Pros: Great service, Great food, Friendly atmosphere

Cons: Small bathroom, No AC

Delicious poutine

First time trying poutine and this one did not disappoint. From what I’ve gathered this is probably the best place in Montreal to get a vegan poutine. Also the cookies and crème milkshake was creamy and satisfying.

Vegan fast food 3.5⭐️

Friendly staff, nice vibes and location, with a small menu vegan fast food….

I love some comfort food on occasion and was eager to try a number of their dishes and milkshakes. Disappointingly, the milkshakes were not available. We tried m:
- the delicious poutine (specifying less gravy thanks to other reviewers): 4/5⭐️
- the ailes pleurotes (wings) with BBQ sauce which I thought were tasty (but my husband found them to be more fried coating than mushroom): 3.5/5⭐️
- the mac-n-cheese which was dry & bland: 2.5/5⭐️

Perhaps the milkshake would have amplified our experience, but overall we left feeling full but not quite satisfied.

Pros: Friendly staff, Fun ambiance, Vegan poutine

Cons: Pricey, Not nourishing, Small menu with essential items unavailable

Great milkshakes!

I loved their milkshakes! The strawberry one was so nice. They were out of Oreo and chocolate milkshake both times I went, but I bet those taste incredible too!

Their poutine was the best we tried in Montreal. I just didn’t like the cheese as it didn’t melt and it felt a bit weird, but the gravy and chips itself were incredible.

Definitely worth a visit.

POUTINE

Obviously I’ve been missing poutine since going vegan. This was the closest thing I’ve tried to the real thing!! The staff was super friendly and helpful when I called with questions about allergies! I don’t live in Montreal but if I did I would be there all the time. I got the buffalo poutine and the pogos, so good😄

Très Magnifique!

Such a gem! Staff was friendly speaking both French and English, and service was very fast, got food in like 10 min! The vegan poutine was very good! The Nashville could be customized to be less or more spicy and was also very good, everything is better deep fried! Also god the milkshake which tasted just like dairy! Would come here again.

Pros: Fast Service, Good Food, Great price

Best poutine and sandwiches

I am obsessed with their curds. It’s the best poutine in the city by a mile. Their spicy Nashville tofu sandwich is also excellent. The menu is small but everything is well-made and you can tell the owner cooks with love. Adorable spot for a quick bite or takeout.

Poutine with cheese curds😍

Finally, a vegan poutine with cheese curds instead of shreds… very delicious! The mac n cheese, bbq sandwich, matcha milkshake, and pogos are great too.

They have vegan poutine

Not a huge fan of poutine but I had to try it—the vegan cheese in it is really good but it was too much gravy for my liking. Nice selection of vegan comfort foods.

Vegan Comfort Food

Has to be one of the best vegan poutines I’ve had in a long time. The Nashville sandwich was good. Very excited to try other menu items, and get more poutine.

Second time to Maynard and I wish I could add an extra star. We ordered the pogos and breakfast sandwich. The pogos we’re fantastic and tasted just like I remember when I was a kid. The sandwich was good, extra points for thé delicious in house sausage patty they use in the sandwich.

Some good, some less good

I tried the tofu Nashville burger as everyone said it was the best : it was just ok. The fried tofu is good but the burger itself is dry : there is only a little bit of sauce (I found there wasn’t enough) and some pickles and that’s it. It would be better balanced if there was more vegetables I guess (maybe just salad or more pickles).

I also ate the rhubarb/strawberry salad : it was very good, with basil, mint and spinach, but I wish it was bigger.

I’ve came back and tried the burger with fries. The burger and fries were good! But the vegan mayo was really bad, like I couldn’t eat it, the taste was awful (like if it was only bland grease). And I’ve noticed that the ketchup tastes funny each time I come and is really not good and there were midges in the vinegar?? So literally all the sauces are not eatable. I don’t know if I would come back having seen that because it’s kinda ew.

Pros: Nice and refreshing rhubarb/strawberry salad, Nice place and nice service

Cons: Tofu Nashville too dry, Midges in the vinegar? Hello, Mayo and ketchup taste bad
