Lovely food and restaurant - Edit
Situated in one of the more quiet backstreets you find Mayka. Lovely restaurant with a mainly vegan menu with a lot of options. We sat at their nice outdoor seating and had a fat boy burger, seitan box and a salad and falafel nuggets for starters. All fresh and well tasting. Fully recommend paying Mayka a visit.

The owner and staff are so lovely and welcoming and the food is delicious - fresh and so yummy. The seitan sausages were chef's kiss - SO good! The restaurant itself is adorable and full of comfy chairs and unique tables and other pieces - you can tell the owners took their time picking out everything in there. Highly recommended!

The food was strange: i had a seitan plate, salad, dessert and a tropical lemonade.
The potato in seitan plate was one of the best i ever had, but the amount (too much) of mock meat, its quality and taste is frustrating. Without garden salad it would be impossible to consume it.
The dessert - shrikhand, is just a milk with jam, nothing else.
The drink was bland and watery.
And at the end, the waiter dropped the pos terminal and told me that now i can pay only with cash. I think the terminal was broken before the fall.

Best Veg Food in the White City - Edit
Funky decor, crusty old rocker owner, just off Kneza Mihailova... what's not to love? Best of all, the food is excellent. I've tried virtually everything on the menu in the many years I've been coming to Belgrade and loved it all. I'd especially recommend the Seitan Box, but everything is good. When the weather is fine--quite a lot of the time in Belgrade--you can sit outside, too, and watch the city's fascinating life walk by.

I always like to come here for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent, there is a lot of choices, and the flavours are rich and unique. Location is in the heart of the city, but the street is not overcrowded and it's pleasent to sit in the garden. Service is great, I always get good recommendations. Also, I often bring friends who are not vegan/vegetarian and they all absolutely love it!

Tasty vegan burgers and nuggets, everything tasted very fresh and wasn’t oily at all. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lovely dessert after the meal. We also really liked the cat sleeping next to our table.

Excellent food in one word - Edit
This was our go to place when we were in Belgrade. You cannot go wrong with anything you order there. The food was of very high quality. Also they have a nice selection of cocktails and alcohol.

The inside of this place is just covered head to toe in the coolest trinkets and decorations, I enjoyed the homeliness of it. The food was okay, but a little dry and overpriced. I appreciate how everything is homemade though:)

I have to go against the grain here: My experience at this restaurant was not pleasant. The decor is unique, but the food is uninspired. My seitan box contained potatoes and a variety of fried "meats", which all had a similar taste and texture that I didn't enjoy. The starter platter arrived after the main course, and while the dips tasted alright, the amount of bread was much too small in comparison. Not recommended.

These guys are SO nice they even ordered us a taxi after the meal more importantly the meal though SO good we went back AGAIN and the desserts are off the charts, absolutely delicious on all fronts! The interior is so groovy and funky and the burgers and homemade seitan are amazing and all the main dishes are brilliant, staff so so kind. Highly recommend!

Nice prepared home cooked meal - Edit
All ingredients are home made, and you can really taste that. It is suprisingly well seasoned, I didn't have to add anuthing to that. And they know thay obviously because they don't put seasons aside like in all Serbian restaurants.
Read moreWe took starter that include tortila with some dips (hummus, tahini, ajvar, vegan tartar sause). All dips were excellent. I would just like to see some oven baked tortila chips variant with it, instead of classic tortila, it would be more practical.
For main dishes we took sheitan gyros and "Miss piggy burger". Sauce that comes inside gyros tortila is magnificent, really creamy and yummy. Burger was good too. Burger itself is muche better that store bought ones, it is soft and smoky, I don't have any complain other that I would like it to be bigger.
Vegan cheese is from almond and sunflower seeds, not some crap full of aditives. Big plus for that.
Mango salad is raw and refreshing, combination of ingredients is great. Real summer salad.
It is quite expensive restaurant, honestly but for home made thing is reasonable.
Restaurant has rustic, calmy atmosfere. I will come by again for sure!

Read moreMany options . We got starter sauces "my mezze" with ridiculosly small tortillas. We asked for 2 more(on photo) which were bigger and fresh , it was 280 dirams just for 2 of the! "7 with red" and seitan box were pretty the same, anddd very heavy. Vegan food can be unhealthy also . Even seitan. At least I felt as I eat something heavy and strong durst.

I went here for lunch and had a few of the local dishes to share with my husband. We really enjoyed the food, though it was definitely on the salty side. The staff was very kind and the inside of the restaurant was quirky. We really enjoyed the patio seating.

Great staff and ambience, and food that's out of this world - Edit
This is probably the best flavoured food we've had anywhere in the world, and we've travelled a lot. The flavours and the freshness is a credit to the staff. Order anything or let the waiter choose for you and you can guarantee it will be perfect. The ambience is also an experience. Just go to Mayka and experience something unique. We did, every one of our 3 nights in Belgrade. If we could take this restaurant back to our home town in New Zealand it would be on a plane already.

This was my first time at the new location. The staff (owners maybe) were super friendly and helpful. Recommended off the menu items. We had meze (4 dips, tortilla and olives) and they were extra tasty. Mango salad (mixed salad of fruits and veggies) also tasty. Cevapcice. They came in a burger bun with potatoes. Tasty. Veggie curry with rice. A bonus was a cute cat that was hanging out with us. I definitely plan to go back.

They have lots of different vegan options, make everything (seitan, sauces...) on their own and the atmosphere is just so unique. It's not your everyday fancy restaurant. It is full of details and stuff that looks right from the flee market. I love it! The food tastes really good and you can feel the love that went into it. If you are looking for a special place and are cool with two lovely cats around this is your place.

The owner should be a car mechanic, not a host. Commentates and talks trash about other guests who were foreigners out loud, unfortunately they couldnt understand the language
