AmaZing! - Edit
They have plenty of vegan options. The food was phenomenal..I tried the vegan calamari taco (5/5). It's fried hibiscus. Loved it so had to try it again (so had 2 of them). (The service was great too, everyone seemed nice)
Read moreP.S Don't alter/modify your order like I did. I modified one of the soft tacos to the crunchy one and didn't like it (too greasy).

Tasty food with tons of vegan options - Edit
Great food with many vegan options. I enjoyed the cauliflower taco. The homemade blue corn tortillas were a nice touch. I appreciated that they had refried black beans that were vegan.

Their menu is roughly half vegan options and everything that we tried was unique and absolutely delicious. Literally in my top 10 restaurants ever. The staff is very sweet and kind. The tortillas were SO GOOD! Cannot wait to come back

lots of vegan option, yummy tacos - Edit
The vegan calamari taco was fantastic, would definitely recommend. The horchata was a bit sweet but still delicious, might be good to ask for less ice.
Read moreThe paella was also good, but not that great, a lot of rice, and I felt it was overpriced for what you get, would not order that again but instead go for several of the small plates.

I would give 5 stars if I could - Edit
The menu is 80% vegan and the options are incredible. So unique, so delicious. The chipotle tofu and black beans were so good, but we tried most of the vegan options and they were all totally worth it. Not sure you can go wrong here. And the staff is sweet and puts so much love in the food! Definitly recommend!!

Fantastic! - Edit
We love Mayan Kitchen! The food is amazing, the service is great. I love that they have so many very clearly marked vegan options. We went there twice during our visit to Sunnyvale and will make it a regular stop when we are there visiting my son. This is a not to be missed restaurant for vegans and non-vegans alike. The Yucatan fries are amazing with the vegan aoili. The cheesecake is to die for. Do not miss this.

Tons of options - Edit
Tons of options from apps to dessert not limited to one section of the menu and the food is delicious! In house made hot sauce is good with amazing flavor the paella tastes like it’s been cooked all day the calamari and the taco were crispy and delicious. The jack fruit was good and I don’t usually like jack fruit. Highly recommend the service was good as well the restaurant is beautiful will be back. Also good cocktails ☺️

Many clearly labeled choices - Edit
So incredible. 2-3 small plates per person, which lets you try more unique dishes! The “calamari” is more like savory hibiscus lemon fritters with aioli but we personally liked that. The vegan empanadas were definitely the star of the show. Great, clearly labeled options on the menu with and without vegan meats. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We are sad we didn’t get to try everything because there are SO many options. We will definitely be back!
Read morePros: SO many unique options , Fake meat and plant only options, Labeled vegan alcohol options too

Great Family Owned Restaurant - Edit
Mayan kitchen is an amazing addition to downtown sunnyvale. They have a ton of vegan options and an entire vegan/vegeterian menu. We had the hibiscus calamari, the grilled veggies, the Chipotle tofu and the tacos. To end the night we had their Mayan hot chocolate. All the food was amazing, came out fast, and the staff was very kind and patient. Without a doubt we will be back for Dinner soon.

Awesome Menu and Service - Edit
I've been here twice now, the first time with my (non) vegan friend who found it searching for a restaurant we could go for our monthly dinner date. We were offered a separate vegan menu to choose from and made our entire shared meal with yucca root fries, vegan calamari, Plantains Sikil P'ak, vegan empanadas. Service was excellent. So much so that we went back a couple weeks later with friends from out of town. And then I ordered a togo meal for my partner and I. Highly recommend.

I loved this place so much! I got the vegan empanada, vegan salbute, and the yuca fries and they were all amazing. My dad loves meat and really enjoyed his food as well. Also the vegan cheesecake was pretty unreal. The service was also really great 😄 Wish I could give it 5 stars

Amazing Vegan Options - Edit
They have a really good selection of vegan food. I basically ordered the entire vegan portion of the menu and had zero regrets. The vegan empanadas were amazing and so was the Bao Bun. My partner loved the vegan kibis but I found it a tad salty but I don’t use a lot of salt so take that with a grain of Um salt. The vegan calamari is made with hibiscus flower and tasted good, the cassava fries were really good. Don’t leave without ordering the vegan cheesecake. The service was amazing. The owner is a very nice lady who is eager to make recommendations and answer questions. We ordered 6 items and got out of there for under $60. I’d highly recommend checking this place out.

Deserves 5 stars - Edit
The experience was absolutely lovely! My food, the atmosphere, and the service were all excellent! My husband is not fully vegan, but enjoys vegan food as well, so most of what we got was vegan. We tried some of their vegan tapas (everything is so easily labeled) including the vegan bao, the vegan empanada, and the yucca fries. Those were delicious!! My husband got a non vegan entree, and I was already reasonably full so I got the vegan calamari taco.

Love this place! - Edit
I went here for an after work meet up with friends, and we really like the location. Cute little strip with pretty lights. The owner of this place, Katie, and her chef are super sweet and hardworking. They have a separate section for vegan food and really tries to make the best vegan alternatives so that we enjoy Mayan cuisine. I recommend the vegan kibis and bao. I really like the sikil p’ak as well (the pumpkin makes a healthier creamy cheesy dip).
