Lots of options for vegan and vegetarian - Edit
They have a wide variety of meal options from Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese. But I personally didn’t like the vegan burger I ordered. But love the fried vegan duck ordered by my friend. The spring rolls are so fresh! Also, I was craving for vegan ice cream and yogurt but not available at the time we ate there.

Great burger - Edit
After eating only Thai food for a while I was really craving a burger but could not justify the prices at Veganerie so after reading the reviews on this place I decided to try it, and the burger did not disappoint! I ordered the "chicken" burger with side salad (instead of chips) and a Thai ice tea with rice milk. Both were very delicious and quite reasonably priced. Unfortunately I also decided to try their chocolate cake which was a mistake - the cream was too heavy and the sponge too dry for my taste. I will definitely return to try some of their other mains, as their menu has a great variety of Thai and international dishes, but stay away from the cakes in the future.

Vegan restaurant, bakery and ice cream parlour all in one - Edit
I love this restaurant the food is out of this world! The menu is large and caters for all tastes there are lots of Thai dishes but also Japanese dishes and Western style options. My favourite dish at the moment is mock chicken with vegetables in a tamarind sauce or maybe it’s the papaya salad with crispy tofu...or the glass noodle salad with Thai basil and crispy mushrooms......YUM!!!

May’s is my go to in Bangkok as everything I’ve tried is just delicious! They have Thai and western options and they’re all reasonably priced. Would always recommend it as the first place you should try in Bangkok.

This just might be my favourite restaurant in the world - Edit
The place itself doesn't look that attractive but when it comes to food... My oh my!
Read moreEverything I've tried was absolutely incredible.
Grilled vegetarian bacon wrapped mushrooms are a must. This was the most realistically tasting and looking vegan bacon I have ever had.
Staff was very polite and willing.
The only thing I didn't enjoy that much was a gluten free brownie which tasted a bit artificial and dry.

Unfriendly staff. Smaller portions. - Edit
Used to love this place and went all the time. But something has changed. The menu has change (less dishes) and the staff are now all sour faced and unattentive. Also, portion sizes have dramatically decreased and cleanliness levels have gotten worse. I no longer go there and no longer recommend it to friends.

Great food, lots of options! I have to go back to try some more, but everything I've had so far was delicious. It's a nice place, very busy, but the service was good when we went (about 9 pm). Prices are reasonable too!

Food Great, Service not so much - Edit
The food is fantastic, both the standard vegetarian options and the meat substitutes. They also do really good vegan ice-creams and desserts. Can't think of anything I've eaten here that wasn't very good.
Read moreThe service, as other reviewers have noted, can generally be improved - there are some friendly staff, but some pretty unsmiling and unhelpful. I'd learned to ignore it, but twice now when friends and I have been deciding on dinner, the friends have said they really don't want to go to Veggie May because of the service (we go to other vegetarian restaurants instead).
Pros: Food, Options, Location
Cons: Some unfriendly service

Very good food, offers traditional Thai food and other Asian specialties. Mostly stirfries and Currys and not too many salads. The staff was not very friendly but overall I would recommend it.

Their food is good. They offer a large selection of dishes from American, Thai, to Japanese. This place can get very busy in the evening though and you might have to wait for a table. Decent portion sizes. 500 bhat mimimum for crest card usage.

Excellent vegan food. I look forward to returning - Edit
The first time I came here for a light lunch and got the Tea Leaf Salad which at least one reviewer raved about.
Read moreThat reviewer said the salad was so good they got a 2nd order of it.
There's another reason one may get 2 orders - It's menu description ends thus - "...6 spoons".
And that's accurate - the entire salad is served in 6 Chinese soup spoons. I.e., it is 6 tablespoons of an interesting mostly nuts and seeds salad. And costs 120 baht.
I can't recommend it for that reason - size and price.
It was tasty and unusual, so if a small portion and the cost don't faze you...
An astute reviewer here recommended Kao-Gaeng-Garee-Pak-Ruam, which is delicious curried vegetables, rice, and a very tasty soup for 149 baht.
Filling, good sized portion, excellent.
They also do a great job of packaging the "take home" orders - when I got back to my (nearby) hotel, the soup was still piping hot.
Half the recent reviews mention "great/friendly staff", half say "unfriendly/unhappy".
They're both accurate - it depends who you deal with but I'd say many are not outrightly hostile but not friendly (no smiles) and some do seem unhappy to be there.
This attitude is displayed by management pretty consistently - if a new customer starts showing up daily perhaps greet that person, and with a smile?
But instead I usually felt ignored by them.
I didn't let it bother me though - Some of the staff are friendly,
the food is so good, and as I say they are not hostile, just many of them are not warm.
Pros: Excellent vegan food.
Cons: Management and staff could consistently be warmer.

Tum Yum! - Edit
We ate here every day of our stay! Great variety, including Thai and non-Thai dishes! I recommend the Khow Soi noodle soup. I felt a little decadent in my choices, but what the heck, I'm on vacation! No gluten-free bread or buns, but they offered a double-pattie veggie burger instead of a single with a bun. Their lime-mint-grated ice drink also a yum. It was nice to see a vegan restaurant so busy. Located near the Asoke skytrain station.
