Vegetarian restaurant offering traditional Asian food with local veggies and ethical products. Specialties are mie goreng and nasi goreng, Indonesian street-food dishes with fried noodle or rice, fresh veggies and spicy sauces. Also offers curries, hummus, pita bread and more. Vegans please let them know you do not eat eggs. All of the desserts are raw & vegan. Does not use plastic of any kind. Also has a food truck - see Facebook for locations. Open Wed-Sun 12:00-21:00. Closed Wed. Hours may vary so please call ahead.

The saving grace of Île de Ré! - Edit
On an island where there’s almost no vegan-friendly food options, thank for for Matahari! The restaurant is fully veggie but almost all of it is vegan, even the desserts. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the owners are friendly. Wish I could have come back for more!

C'est un restaurant. Tout est végétarien, majoritairement vegan. Les desserts sont vegan et délicieux. Les nouilles sont aux oeufs. Cuisine de qualité. Bon accueil, par contre le local est tout petit.
