A mycophile's dream.

I have always loved mushrooms and this mushroom-based gourmet restaurant filled the bill. Hot pots are the main attraction, and although most contain meat, one can order either the "Peeled Chili Pepper & Mushrooms" or the "Shiitake & Mixed Mushrooms" hot pots, which are both vegan. The hot pot includes vegetarian "meat." The restaurant supplies English speakers with an easy-to-follow menu that lists "vegetarian" (vegan) choices. There are also a variety of vegan side dishes, snacks and beverages. I found the shiitake and mixed mushrooms hot pot delicious, and a hot pot for one can easily serve two, especially if a side dish is ordered.

Pros: excellent food, generous portions, good service, helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere

Cons: remote location, can get crowded.
