Vegan ice cream! YAY - Edit
There are very few places with good vegan ice cream options in Amsterdam, so it was lovely to find this spot. Even the cones are vegan! Don't miss the pistachio :)

I had one scoop of hazelnut Ice-cream, it was okay but had some hard parts in it, which seems to be frozen water...felt like chewing on crushed ice. Nevertheless the taste was yummy. The price wasn't.

How tf is this vegan? 🫠 - Edit
Ok honestly I thought that going vegan was going to mean giving up on a stroll to the local ice cream, errr gelato, parlour on hot summer nights, but omg their vegan sorbetto is insanely good! I had the chocolate and pistachio- so creamy and delicious. Bit of a queue but worth every minute.

They have a couple of vegan flavours on top of the usual fruity ones - dark chocolate, pistachio and hazelnut. I had one scoop of each of the last two, but could hardly tell them apart. After a while it was a bit nauseating because (for my personal taste) a bit too sweet and lacking in the distinct taste of each nut. Prices are also quite high (I think 3,70 for two scoops). I guess it’s okay, but I’ll browse around further for more options.

There were quite a couple of vegan ice cream options besides sorbet flavours, such a pistachio, coconut, hazelnut and chocolate. Next time I'm def gonna try the melon & peach ones!

The Gelateria is not finished yet (no seating), but the ice cream is made fresh daily on site. Massimo-East also has got a wide selection of sorbets (proper dark chocolate and fantastic pistachio). Cones are not vegan and they use plastic spoons (I bring my own).
