Great Mexican buffet - Edit
I went several times. Real Mexican food, amazing value. 110 pesos for lunch, including drinks and unlimited food. And even better, 80 pesos for fantastic breakfast until 1pm.

Хороший ресторанчик, буфет. Еда вкусная, хороший выбор. Особенно понравилась фасолевая каша. Стоимость завтрака 75 песо. На ужин особое меню.

Four times in one week - Edit
I wasn’t super impressed with the vegan options in PV, but we loved this place... so much we visited it four times. It’s all buffet and I think everything was vegan except for the option of cheese and cream on the side. It feels kinda like sitting down to eat in someone’s abuela’s house. Very welcoming.

Fabulous vegan buffet - Edit
A great place to go when you are hungry. The name says vegetarian, but we didn’t see anything on the buffet that contained any animal products. We went back twice and loaded our plates and drank our fill of freshly squeezed delicious juices.

sooo delicious!!! - Edit
The food was so good. Amazing selection. The owner is so sweet. I love the tamales on Saturdays! So moist and flavorful! Thank you so much for such a wonderful dinning experience. Between us all: American, Mexican, Canadian, vegetarian, vegan, and carnivore, we all had such a satisfying meal!

Great food (hours incorrect in this app) - Edit
Great food and it's all covered up. Really clean and quaint place. We came for lunch and the buffet was 90 pesos. If you don't speak Spanish, learn it and stop expecting people to speak English. They are open for breakfast/lunch/dinner so this app is wrong on hours.

Three times in three days - Edit
We went three times in three days and probably would have gone more if we had gone earlier in the trip. Went twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Very helpful in pointing out what items were vegan. Tacos were awesome you just need to add the toppings. Also really good tofu scramble. Didn’t have anything I didn’t like and you cannot beat their price.

Our favorite vegan friendly buffet in town! - Edit
Owner Mary has moved her lovely restaurant into a new location on Honduras and we visited her 3 times during our recent trip, as we couldn't get enough! Her almost completely vegan lunch buffet has a huge selection of salads plus soup and multiple great entrees, which differ slightly every day. She has tacos, tortillas, and burgers too, plus the large array of Mexican salsas that make this cuisine so tasty. Her new place is very clean and the food is as delicious as ever! For just 90 pesos for the lunch buffet this is a great deal for the best value in town!

Delicious typical Mexican food, veggie-style - Edit
The tacos el pastor were so good we came back again for them! The hand-made fresh tortillas alone are worth a detour. Unpretentious and friendly service.

If you are new to the area and looking for vegan food this place has got your back! They only had a couple options that were not vegan. Very great over all. Good food. Good people. Good atmosphere. Mahalo 🤙🏽

great find - Edit
This place is low key and buffet style -has many delicious vegan options including tofu scramble , pancakes, fresh juice soy meat and more. They also have traditional Mexican beans etc - staff is super knowledgeable so you don't "accidentally " eat non vegan food! We went for breakfast several days and I thin for two people it was less than 5 US dollars - great staff, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere - can't go wrong - don't forget the homemade salsas- oh and there is a huge pot of fresh coffee on the stove

Loved breakfast! - Edit
We stopped in for breakfast and it was amazing! The staff showed us the vegan options-- make your own chilaquiles, beans, fruit, pancakes. The enchiladas had cheese, but they offered to make some vegan ones just for us. So good and very affordable for budget vegan travelers! It might be hard to navigate without knowing at least some basic Spanish.

Seitan in Mexico! - Edit
Staying at an all-inclusive resort that was not very vegan-friendly, it was wonderful to have this spot just a few blocks away. Visited for lunch two different days. Do have at least two dishes a day that are covered with cheese, but many other options to choose from. Many seitan dishes, homemade tortillas and salsas and hot sauces. Everything I tried was delicious. All you can eat buffet for less than $5 USD!!! And very authentic too. Was able to practice my Spanish a little as no one speaks English (may be con for some people, but hey, we're Mexico).

:( - Edit
My guest and I were excited to trek out and try the other veg restaurant in town but were displeased with Mary's. It's a buffet, same style as Planeto Vegetariano but with none of the charm. I'ts lacking in atmosphere (large white room with a few paintings), there's no signs/ingredients over the dishes, and, though I know this isn't fair, just to give readers a heads-up -- there's no English here. As for the food, potatos were nearly raw, tostadas were burnt, not enough vegan options.

Mary Vegetariano -- YUM!! - Edit
Delicious food, VERY inexpensive, lots of variety with fresh vegetables and I cannot stress how delicious everyone was. The staff was very cordial and stayed open a bit later than posted. They served dessert after our dinner, which was like a moist and delicious banana bread or banana cake of sorts. I wish there were a place like this near where I live! If I ever travel again to Puerto Vallarta, I will be sure to visit.

Best Vegan Restaurant in Puerta Valarta - Edit
If you are looking for a totally vegan restaurant in Puerta Vallarta that serves authentic, buffet-style Mexican food on the cheap, this is the place for you. Although not fancy, the food is delicious and very fresh. I had the best refried beans of my life here, and everything else was also excellent. We arrived at the end of breakfast but before lunch (there's a one hour break in-between from 12-1), but the very friendly staff let us hang out and feed our four year old son breakfast while we waited. He ate scrambled tofu and pancakes, both of which were excellent.
Read moreFor lunch, there was a large, fresh salad bar on one side, and a variety of hot items on the other side. We samples a few mock meat dishes, refried beans, soups and mexican rice (excellent, BTW). There are a large number of sauces and condiments, including home-made guacamole and a dark, roasted chile pepper sauce. I would highly recommend using the sauces, as a few of them are home-made and wonderful, and taste nothing like what we think of as Mexican in the United States. Some are on the hot side, so be careful, but after all... you are in Mexico, so what do you expect? :-)
A few other positives: it's quite clean and spacious, and seats ca. 30 total. Mary's is also kid-friendly, so if you have children with you and they make a little bit of a mess, it will be OK. At the time of this review, the breakfast buffet is ca. $5.00 American and lunch/dinner is ca. $7.00.
The only negative I can think of is that there didn't seem to be any desserts, although there is clearly a piece of cake on their business card, so perhaps we weren't there late enough, or they only serve dessert at dinner time.
We did go to the other vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Puerta Vallarta, Planeta Vegetariana, but we like this one better. All in all, highly recommended. We will definitely be back.
Pros: Large Variety, Clean, Cheap
Cons: Dessert?

Delicious and inexpensive - Edit
I ate at this restaurant twice for dinner while I was on vacation in Puerta Vallarta. It serves 100% lacto-vegetarian Mexican food in a casual setting. You can order the food without cheese, but the servers do not speak much English so you will have to say "no queso, por favor." The food is delicious and incredibly inexpensive. My party of four ate for approximately $10.00! It is closed on Sundays and they serve a buffet on Saturday nights. I would highly recommend this restaurant for delicious, authentic Mexican vegetarian.
