Pop up restaurant serving brunches on weekends - check website or Facebook for location and opening times. Serves primarily vegan food in an all-you-can-eat buffet; exceptions are ovo-lacto items which are clearly labeled as such. Created in the framework of the project Eatmosphere whose goal is to fight food waste by giving a second chance to ugly vegetables and recuperate food. They regularly invite young local chefs to participate in the project and cook a few items. Reported September 2017 to now have events throughout the week and month, these include a fermenting workshop every Tuesday, home delivery (or take-away) on Wednesday, every second Saturday a vegan table d´hôte, a 'masterchef' every third Monday of the month and every last Saturday of the month a pop-up picnic all over Brussels. Reported closed May 2023.

A brunch of good things to say

Went to one of the first opening brunches and this place already had it in the bag. I love all you can eat anywhere, but especially places with mostly vegan food, and ESPECIALLY places that focus on reducing food waste. I was impressed by their creativity in making dishes from things that would have been thrown out at conventional restaurants. I never would have known the difference.

Very good brunch and nice place

We went to Mary Pop In for the traditional sunday brunch after reading the very positive reviews on Happycow.

At first disappointed by the price (21€ for the all-you-can-eat brunch, with ingredients mostly saved the Delhaize supermarket), we found the food very tasty, creative and there are plenty of options (not just at 11:30 am).
The beverages are relative cheap (3€ for a soya latte).

Although the dishes change every sunday, we especially appreciate the lentils/ cauliflower/ kaffir lime (?) tabouleh, the cauliflower wings, the cinnamon and pear cake and the pumpkin-almond soup.

Nice and bright place, very well decorated. Peaceful atmosphere, "family friendly" place I would say. The neighborhood is also nice, not so far from the Brussels Midi train station.

It is worth it, we will definitely come back😄
I would recommend you to book before the sunday brunch. The restaurant seems to be often full.
Ps : they do not accept the Visa card.

Pros: Tasty and creative food , Approach (local food, avoidance of food waste etc), Nice and peaceful place

Cons: No Visa card accepted

Great vegan Brunch

The Brunch buffet is all vegan, location super pretty, staff very kind & water is free. I was surprised going in that the buffet table was rather small, but as everything turned out so delicious, it was more than enough choice (we just had a bit of everything, and then went for seconds). And they constantly bring out more foods as well. They don't waste food, which is another good reason to support this place.

Gourmet food, with a green twist

I gatecrashed a dinner event on Saturday night (I think you're supposed to reserve by email for the special events). 7 gourmet courses made from rescued ingredients, accompanied by kefir and kombucha. At 50eur wine it wasn't cheap, but it felt like a real treat! Best to look them up on Facebook before you go, to see what's on and reserve if necessary.

Pros: lovely people , gourmet food

Cons: slow service- but relax and enjoy!

Very nice mostly vegan buffet

Very nice and tasty buffet. Food comes mainly from "saved" origin or at least local farmers. Modern ambient. Chefs are working for a social project to integrate themselves to the working market. Food is very tasty - much better then expected. Staff is very friendly. Good local beer and and nice tea. I can totally recommend this place!
Buffet 18€ p.p.

Pros: Tasty, Non vegan food is declared, Nice staff

Cons: Buffet only
