Great vegan sushi

I really enjoyed everything here. Two thumbs up for the fake eel sushi. The fried chicken was guilt-inducing good. Try the sushi platter - great selection of sushi and enough to leave you feeling stuffed.

The decor isn't impressive, but there's nothing wrong with it. Go for the food, not the interior decorating.

Pros: Excellent fake meats, Top-notch vegan sushi

Amazing!!

The food is incredible and not too expensive. The fried "eel" is an absolute MUST.

Pros: All vegan.

Very little English

We had some decent and reasonably priced food whilst visiting. I would suggest having wechat ready to translate the pages from the menu. There are also no pictures and the TV screen was not working. The staff were friendly throughout. We went with the meal deal, it included a variety of dishes such as rice, curry, faux fish, salad, cold noodles and french fries. You select a main, side, salad and a drink. I would suggest this is more of a cheap lunch than a big dinner.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: No English menu or pictures.

My Japanese colleague approves

I had to take my Japanese colleague to see if a native Japanese person would like it. Sushi was my favourite food before I went vegan and there aren't many times I got to eat it after. This was an insane treat, the sushi was incredible.

Curry favour.

Easy to find from Luban Road metro on line 4, Google maps location is good. Very nice wee place, not too many tables downstairs & I didn't investigate upstairs, we got a table no problem just after 12. There's a short menu in English on the wall, a tv monitor above the counter displaying the menu but there is also a QR code on each table, scan it and you access the full menu. As soon as I saw they did fried chicken and curry my decision was made, I went for the lunch set which included a drink & a salad. It was what I'd hoped for with a bowl of vegetable curry and rice, then a separate bowl of fried chicken. The curry itself was close to the kind I'm used to from Chinese chippies in Manchester, I could've done with it being a little spicier (and a portion of chips) but that's my personal taste. The fried chicken pieces were fresh and crispy, the coating was tasty with the faux chicken taste and texture just right, also a good sized portion, served with a mustard dip. The tuna salad had a passion fruit dressing which was a bit weird for me but my friend enjoyed hers, she'd also ordered the lunch set of beef noodles & miso soup. The faux beef was tender, not too chewy as some fake meat can be, the sauce was tasty on the thick udon noodles, I didn't taste the soup. They also sell some bottled drinks (presumably also vegan). I really enjoyed my meal but would just get the fried chicken and curry (without the drink or salad) I got one to go for my girlfriend to try. I'll definitely be back soon to try more of their menu.
Went back and tried the dumplings which were nicely fried on the bottom then steamed but they only contained pink faux meat, no veggies so I personally wouldn't order them again, plus they were sold out of the fried chicken. As they are still quite new I guess they're figuring out the demand for their menu. The curry and rice is very tasty and cheap too.
I'd not been here for a long time since they stopped doing the curry, I follow them on Wechat & their focus isn't exactly what I'm interested in, vegan chicken feet! However yesterday they posted a couple of new dishes so we went to try them. The Fuji Mountain Buckwheat Noodles were ok, maybe they're closer to an authentic dish but not really our taste, but the mixed vegetable tempura was delicious, very well done with a light batter. I did give them an excellent reviews sticker for their window.

Left hungry

Interesting concept, but the fake fish apart from it's look has nothing to do with either consistency nor taste of the real one. The mock chicken was really good though! Unfortunately quite pricy and small portions ... payed 200 yuan for 3 persons and went to another place afterwards because it felt just like a snack

Pros: Good tasting mock chicken, Creative mock meat/fish

Cons: Small portions for the price , No toilets

Amazing

This was the best Vegan Japanese meal that I had. I confess I ate too much because it was really good. I probably had half of the menu and everything was great.

Pros: Friendly Staff, Good size portions, Taste

Good food but the rest leaves a lot to wish for

Really convincing looking faux meat sushi which tastes great. Rice bowls and other dishes also good but there’s room for improvement, nevertheless a great place for lunch if you’re in the area or don’t mind travelling a bit.

I came here for dinner and then the strip lights and the absent minded service made for a pretty bad experience. But for a quick lunch it’s a winner.

Pros: Vegan sushi, Other dishes also good, Inexpensive

Cons: Service, Location, No bathroom

Really decent

I ordered the squid sushi and the sea grape sushi, each came with 2 pieces. Both were great, and it seems like a lot of care went into the squid ingredients to make it uncannily squid-like. The star was the fried chicken I ordered along with the curry and rice. The chicken is crispy-fried wonderfully, chewy on the inside, and really tasty. I wish I had more when it was finished, even though the portion size was perfect. The curry over rice was really presentable with potatoes, okra, mushrooms and carrots. Besides the fact that it could have had a stronger flavor (not a big deal), my major qualm with it was that it seemed so minimal compared to the rice.
Keep in mind this place has a definite lunch break, and reopen at 5:00 pm. I walked in at quarter to five, and they wouldn’t take my order until five.
And, definitely don’t expect them to be happy that you’re there. That was my experience.

Pros: Food is tasty , A lot of care goes into creating vegan versions

Cons: Too much rice, too little curry
