Best Ramen - Edit
Vegan Shio Tonyu Red is the best! It’s a spicy broth with tofu and veggies. So good! There are other vegan options on the menu that I look forward to trying. Don’t ever leave us 😊

Amazing Ramen - Edit
Plenty of vegan options, the Vegan Shio Tonyu Red was delicious with just the right amount of heat. The vegan gyozas were also worth getting!

Vegan in the market - Edit
This place had a special for a vegan ramen, but there was another place in the market that offered vegan bimimbap which was so good! Just ask for no egg and no kimchi mayo. Not that cheap though.

Yummy ramen♡ - Edit
I love ramen, and I love spicy food. Being a vegan, it is hard to get a good vegan Japanese ramen, and I'm so happy I found two places in Portland (Another one is Kayo's Ramen Bar).
Read moreThe menu was simple and straightforward, and the wait was reasonable for a early Sunday evening.
I got Vegan Red, and it was full of flavorful toppings and a good amount of spiciness. The noodle was thinner than I expected but was perfectly chewy. The tomato added mind sweetness to the whole bang.
I would totally go again to get the red again or to try the non red one.
Pros: Authentic Japanese noodle, Red one is legitimately spicy
Cons: Uses disposable chopsticks

It exists - Edit
This was a nice option that we stumbled upon at Pine St Market. We went there for the pizza place that claimed to have vegan options but when we got there their vegan option was "w/out cheese". *Eye roll* So we went to Marukin and found some delicious ramen bowls. Would definitely go back. Food was good and the atmosphere is very fun.

The Real Deal - Edit
Simply put, the vegan ramen at Marukin is some of the best ramen I've ever had. LOTS of noodles swimming in a large bowl of tasty broth with a variety of toppings artfully arranged. The Soy broth is the standard salty savory ramen while the vegan red packs some heat that will clear your sinuses and get you sweating. During the summer they also offer a cold vegan ramen so you can still get your fix when it's 85 degrees and ramen is the last thing on your mind. The staff are great and on a cold rainy day, it's hard to go wrong with a bowl of Marukin Ramen.

great vegan ramen - Edit
This place was great. A little ramen stand in Pine Place Market with two vegan broth options. I got the vegan shoyu and it was topped with tofu, tomato, spinach, green onion, leek, and nappa cabbage. Super tasty and even had an egg-y flavor.
