I had a croissant, that was slightly burned but it was the only vegan option. Took ages to find, ignore the link on Happy Cow and search on Maps instead

Best vegan gelato - Edit
They had around 4 or 5 vegan Gelato flavors when I visited. I got the dark chocolate and passion fruit. The dark chocolate was so creamy, it was hard to believe there was no dairy! They also have a vegan pastry, I don't know what's in it but it's delicious. Ask what is "vegano" for current flavors and pastries.

Two vegan friands, (they also have vegan croissants) and ice creams with cappuccino (soy milk). Delicious. Fresh. Creamy custard. Amazingly good.

The Cappuccino with soy milk was good, but you can find that pretty much everywhere. The vegan pasticciotto was ok, nothing special, but it was nice to be able to try that typical Leccese pastry.

Really delicious gelato flavours - the vegan ones are behind the counter so make sure to ask! We tried the “white” flavour which was delicious. They also seem to have one vegan pastry / sweet treat each day. We had the most delicious pastry with an “almond cream”.

Like most gelato shops, you'll find dark chocolate (fondante), lemon, or strawberry. BUT be sure to ask about their vegan flavors, because there are more stored separate behind the counter! They have a whole "fior di riso" line (rice milk based). If you're lucky, they'll be stocked with pistachio, vanilla, chocolate, and something just called "white" (bianco), which was incredible! I was skeptical of a rice milk base, but trust me it's amazing.
Read moreBeyond that, you can get soy milk cappuccinos, THE BEST vegan cornetti (croissants), and even pasticciotti (a regional specialty). If I had to pick one favorite thing from here, it would be the cornetti. So fluffy and buttery with a slight orange/almond flavor. Don't miss out!

Awesome gelateria with many vegan flavours other than sorbet. I tried the chocolate, pistachio, vanilla, and fudge and all were great! They also have different sorbets depending on the season. I also found this place in Bari Vecchia. 2.20 euro for two scoops.
