Marmsie

Fresh and interesting salad ingredients would be an improvement. Tasted like it just came from a packet. Main meals tasted like they were from a tin can and the quiche old and stale.

Pros: The setting with stunning views, The building and verandah, The calm atmosphere

Cons: Portion size for mains is more like an entree, Food is bland and didn't taste fresh, Way overpriced

Pleasantly surprised!

We were really surprised by this cafe, since it’s more geared towards tourists we expected the prices to be steep and the portions and food to be mediocre but man we were wrong! The vegan vs vegetarian options are clearly labeled and the staff is knowledgeable on all their menu items to meet your needs. The portions were so surprising as we ordered the no tuna sandwich and they actually brought out TWO sandwiches a piece! We also tried their lentil soup and a garden side salad with their house vinaigrette and OMG! The vinaigrette was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and the ingredients in all the dishes were so so fresh. Granted, it could’ve used a little salt and pepper in the no tuna mixture and the soup, but other than that we had zero complaints! We also tried one of their baked goods to go and it was to die for! Good vibes, good food, right on the water. You will pay for the experience and good fresh vegan food, but in my opinion it was worth it.

Pros: Many options , Delicious flavors , Vibes

Cons: A lil more seasoning needed, Pricier

Not the best

We had the feeling you pay more for the view then for the food. We had the chili and the Panini (veggie) but we didn't had the feeling they used fresh vegetables. The chili looked like beanjuice with a lot of beans and corn. They topped it with two pieces of advocado but they had a strange taste.

Would not recommend this place

Pros: A lot of options

Cons: Expensive, No fresh vegetables , Not really tasty

Expensive, bland

Ate here right after landing in Belize. Food is expensive, 8$ USD for a smoothie. May as well wait till you're on San Pedro to get one from juice dive for half the price.

The salad I got was bland. Cerviche - modified to be vegan, was literally just chips and salsa.

Pros: Vegan options.

Cons: Expensive, Bland food, not worth the price.

Great cruise option

Just steps from the cruise terminal! Had a smashed chickpea sandwich and my partner had a smoothie.

Brief menu but tasty food. More indoor seating would have been a plus. Peaceful and inviting. I would go back.

Pros: Vegan clearly labeled, Beautiful views

Ok food, adorable spot

Martha’s is in a beautiful spot with a great view. There are a ton of vegan options, we got the power bowl and the curried chickpea sandwich. The power bowl was pretty good, the sandwich left a bit to be desired in terms of flavor. I would be willing to try some other things on the menu simply because they are so kind there and the view is great!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good location

Cons: Lacking some flavor

Great way to end our trip

The loaded nachos are excellent! After not having many options while on Caye Caulker it was so nice to have a great meal on our last day in Belize. I booked a room at the Harbour View Boutique Hotel just because I loved the reviews for Martha’s Cafe. The hotel and the restaurant are fantastic!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Gluten-free options, Great view

🙂

Great food and dessert! They had many vegan options and I got a nice piece of carrot cake to go.
The second time I went, I got soup. Only downside is that they are a bit pricey.

By far the best place to properly relax in the hustle and bustle of Belize City

I’m going to start by saying what a lovely person Martha is. She is full of knowledge, and a beautiful person inside and out. I could have chatted all day if I wasn’t catching a dive boat😄
As I walked in to Martha’s cafe I had an instant ahhhh moment, when you just feel that this is the perfect place to be in this very moment.
I sat outside and my soul felt rejuvenated instantly with the sea view and jazz music playing.
The food was not only presented beautifully, it was delicious! It felt like it was good wholesome food going into my body.
I could write and write about Martha’s cafe but I need to get on my dive boat!
So all I can say is, make sure you go to Martha’s cafe, it’s a beautiful place. Thank you ladies you were all so lovely and accommodating x

Pros: Amazing food , The most lovely staff, The view

Cons: Nothing

Vegan Foodie Paradise

Close to the Belize city water taxi area (roughly 10 min walk) is a peaceful haven overlooking the water. Cool, calm vibes and a sensational menu with so so many vegan options. The nachos were delicious and the brownie and carrot cake we took away were incredibly tasty too!

Pros: Vast menu of incredible vegan options , Fresh Juices, Take away cakes and brownies etc

Yum-azing!!!

This place had delicious food! Very inexpensive and filling! Easy to find from the cruise port; if we had more time we would have gone back for two more meals! We had the “no tuna” sandwich, loaded vegan nachos, watermelon mint juice, then banana bread and carrot cake for dessert. All vegan and so worth it!!! Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back!!!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Serene environment, Close to cruise ports

Really great vegan food

We spend the morning at Om Shanti. Starting out with a watermelon/mint juice and amazing vegan brownie. Then later on we had infused lime water with the loaded vegan nachos and tamales. THE LOADED NACHOS ARE SOOOO GOOD. Will go back definitely.

Pros: Lots of options, Vegan cheese, Friendly staff

Cons: Somewhat expensive

I didn't want to leave

I stayed almost 4 hours at Martha's Cafe and Om Shanti. The food is delicious and fresh. I had the Watermelon mint juice, raw vegan cashew cheese for starters , then I had the vegan cheese burger and then for the dessert I had a vegan brownie with the golden milk vegan ice-cream. I also had a wonderful ginger latte, something I have never tried before. I enjoyed the view , wrote some postcards, chatted with friends and then decided to have an awesome hot stone massage from their spa. to top it off I ended up having a piece of Marthas Famous Vegan Carrot Cake. The place makes you feel like you are on a private island away from the hustle and bustle of life. the staff is so attentive and kind. Its like no other place in the city.

Pros: great vegan & vegetarian food, awesome view, great staff

Cons: I found them by just walking by more advertisement
