Good choice - Edit
Good choice - we got hummus with wasabi and one with coriander, aubergine paste, roasted soja beans, sprouts, tomatos and some more for our dinner in a hotel room.
Unfortunatelly it was quite expensive :/ 60€ for both of us. So it is much cheaper to eat at bars, even more fancy restaurants for 15€ per person.

Good health food store, ok for vegans - Edit
This is part of a chain with stores all over Amsterdam, and I found the staff in this venue to be particularly friendly, and they looked after my large bags at the checkout whilst I shopped. It isn't the best choice for vegans, as the vegan items are mixed in around others so it takes time to check the ingredient lists, but it's good for getting staples such as pasta, bread, fruit or fresh vegetables, and is generally good quality. There are a lot of organic and fairly-traded items, and occasionally free samples to taste.
Pros: location, friendly staff
Cons: not fully veg
