Marqt - Utrechtsestraat

The supermarket has a wide selection of fruits and veggies and other refined vegan products. Unfortunately there is also a lot of meat and cheese that smells a lot.
You can only pay with card, the don't take cash!

Marqt carries a good range of, "health-food" and organic staples, from wholewheat pasta to fresh fruit to vegan cheeses. If you're stuck when out and about in Amsterdam then it's a reliable chain, and this one is a decent size. But the speciality items, whilst delicious, can be a little expensive, so I mainly only buy veg. and bread here. Also make sure you check the ingredients, as there is no vegan section, but on the plus side, dairy and allergens are clearly marked on most things.

I love the ethos of Marqt, selling only organic produce! Expensive but this is understandable as the demand is not as big as it needs to be.

Very large health food supermarket which is not vegetarian but has a good selection of high quality fruit, veg and in-store baked bread, as well as vegan biscuits and raw chocolate. Toiletries and cleaning products which have not been tested on animals are also available.
