No longer Marie Anita’s - Edit
Visited in 2022 and was extremely satisfied with everything about this place. Came up in January 2024 hoping for a similar experience, but we left disappointed when we sat down and discovered the menu was completely different. It was actually very confusing to understand if it had been through an ownership change or just a large menu modification. The menu stated a completely different business name of See Yö on the front, and See Yö named items throughout the menu, leaving us to deduce that it had probably been sold to new owners. Not much else had changed with the shop front still boasting Marie Anita signage and branding. New menu has minimal vegan options and serves meat and dairy, so we left to find somewhere more vegan friendly. It’s disappointing that there seems to be no acknowledgment or clear notification of the change in ownership, as we travelled a fair distance.

New Owners - really disappointing - Edit
This place changed hands a year ago. However no website or branding has been changed. It’s no longer vego, definitely can’t be labelled a health cafe - just a standard GF cafe. Lots of bacon, dairy and eggs etc. Menus are rebranded with the cafe name ‘see yeo’, but still operating as Marie Anita’s… felt like I was being duped into supporting something other than what was advertised. So disappointing - the old Marie Anita’s was the best!! We left without ordering and sadly won’t be returning. #Veganuary

We aren’t gluten free but enjoyed knowing that what we did order was fully animal product free. Super clear labelling and friendly staff. Delicious sweet treats and pastries.

I love this place. It has such a great energy about it. All food is prepped from scratch and made with conscious love. I love that it is all gluten free, it just proves we can eat a range of different delicious foods that are healthy and plant based, and bonus for gluten free needs.
Read moreI had the big brekky which was delicious. Home made Smokey tomato beans, hash brown (not a packet one!!) grilled tom, greens and homemade sour cream from cashews. Also enjoyed cauli cheese and spinach pastry roll take away.
Plenty to choose from on the menu and front cabinet has loads of raw treats and savouries including Love Loco chocolates. Great coffee and quality plant milks available.
Only option that is not vegan here is offering dairy milk.
Vegan/gluten free cakes made on site, great for birthday cakes etc. Bread loaves sold here too. Filtered table water.
Very reasonably priced seeing it’s all gluten free and whole-foods/plant based.
Lovely setting and staff. I will definitely visit again when on the Gold Coast!

Nice place to brunch! - Edit
Visiting from interstate, I got to take my mum and dog to this nice place and sit outside in the warm sunshine. The food options are all vegan and our choices didn't disappoint. They still serve cow's milk which is the only downfall. We all hope that changes as I would be recommending this establishment.

You order at the counter. We ordered the nachos and the pancakes and the chocolate smoothie. All dishes were a really good size and filling. They had a lot of flavour too. They serve an all day breakfast which is handy.

I really enjoyed my meal, I had the vegan oyster/enoki mushroom with cheezy fried kale. Toast was dense and satisfying.

Cute vegan / gf cafe with great food. I would have given it 5 stars but it’s still listed as serving meat so couldn’t. Great community spirit and ethos. They were offering coffee grinds for compost and veggie scraps for chooks when I was here. I had the buckwheat pancakes. Delicious!

This is a gem for anyone who cannot eat gluten! I had a really good custard slice that I couldn’t stop talking about! The atmosphere is lovely and it’s close to the beach too!

Fab find, especially if healthy eater. Selection wider than most and quality, homemade, nutricious food. Service prompt and professional, relaxed atmosphere and neat back yard. Found my matcha latte (finally) too, even homemade non sweet almond milk. Bliss!

Enjoyed the wrap made vegan, the freshly made wrap was delicious as was the golden turmeric late made with their home made raw almond milk. Huge range of delicious raw desserts, all GF and vegan labelled. Friendly staff and beautiful garden in the back.

I've been going to Marie Anitas for a little while and have always had friendly service and tasty meals and good coffee. Their new location is on the same highway just a couple of kms north.

It's a bright, cosy cafe with lots of sweet and savoury options.
Lovely gluten free bread baked on the premises. Vegan muffins. Home made raw vegemite - for those who love that taste!
