Found this place quite by accident. The staff was very welcoming & helpful. Evidently I'm not the only vegan who likes pupusas.
Read moreThey seemed enthused to see me and were happy to share what items are or could be made vegan. They were quick to find me a menu in English.
I recently discovered the pupusa on a trip to roatan honduras and have become a fan.
I had a bean & sautéed spinach puousa, $3 and a side of yucca , and my tab with tax was $9 and change. It was delicious & filling.
The restaurant was clean & well-lit. The food takes a while to appear as it's all made to order but well worth the wait. I'll be back. Do yourself a favor and visit Maria's.
