The waiter messed up my order two times. When i finally got my dish it had dairy cheese on top. I asked multiple times if it is vegan cheese and the waiter lied to my face and said it was, tho it clearly wasn't.

Undercooked (raw) eggplant, uninspired dishes and a lone waiter that was having a fight while serving us who didn’t even apologize for the undercooked eggplant. The chef was nursing her child during work. Highly distracted and unorganized staff, resulting in a below average experience. We ate a second dinner elsewhere after. Avoid.

They are several vegetarian options, which can all be made vegan according to what the owner/chef/waitress told us. The food was good, not the best though (the vegetables on the bread and the mushrooms were obsviously the same frozen mix).

A espera foi tão longa que 4 pessoas desistiram e saíram sem comer.
Quando a comida eventualmente chegou, não era nada boa.
Eu pedi uma massa com natas (vegan) e espinafres, estava muito má, com um sabor muito estranho, sem tempero, nem alho. Pedi também umas batatas assadas e pareciam do dia anterior. A espera máxima chegou a 2h e 30min.

Vegan/Veggie section on the menu and some of the other stuff on the menu can be made vegan too. Really tasty, creative food, fantastic selection and very reasonably priced. Staff very knowledge of veganism and able to make dishes outside the vegan menu vegan! I recommend this place for sure :)

After a long day of siteseeing we found this little restaurant in the old part of town from Happy Cow and it was perfect. The food was great with both vegan and non vegan options. Then there was Maria singing in the kitchen cooking the food. Must come.

The most elaborated dishes were the vegan sausage, the filled mushroom (good!) and the eggplants with fresh tomato sauce, basilico, besciamella and nuts (the best).
It's a bit pricey for the portions and the kind of cooking. We ordered 4 tapas, 1 potatoes and two porto for 38,30€.

fabulous vegan options for a non-vegan restaurant - Edit
I had the most pleasant experience at this restaurant. It is a very small but cozy and friendly space. During summer is lovely to be at the tables outside. The chef creates her own dishes and the gratins with soy cream are delicious. They had stuffed mushrooms, stuffed tomatoes, gratin aubergines and the most delicious mushroom "alheiras" (which is traditional portuguese charcuterie dish). It was perfect in texture, smokiness and taste. I actually went there for my birthday and the lady even made a small vegan birthday cake (carrot cake) as a special request from my father as a surprise. It was divine. I highly recommend this place and although it is not a vegan restaurant, It has various delicious options and lovely space. Good for couples or small groups (4pax inside or max.8 pax outside). It is located in the Historical part of Coimbra, just near the old cathedral - it is a beautiful spot but not very accessible if you have mobility issues.
