Good food but communication not ideal - Edit
The food was fabulous, really lovely and delicious. I liked it better than Aloft. If you only have time for one in Hobart, go to Maria.
Read moreBUT I did confirm vegan on booking, reconfirmation and also by phone on the day, and was served meat straight up. They were apologetic. My omni dining companion also had a dietary request, confirmed the same way, which was also ignored for the first dish. The staff were apologetic.

Stunning food and location, wish I could give 5 stars - Edit
The vegan meal at Maria was fabulous! The service, location (on the water), decor, staff, food, wine… everything was perfect. Each course was made up of several dishes so even though it says 5 courses, there were actually more like 10. Such delicious variety and flavours. Our favourite meal in Hobart!

Read moreThe meal with absolutely beautiful, well balanced and thoughtfully made. Lots of citrus- feels like it will be the perfect space for summer. The staff are lovely and helpful and just make the space feel so comfort

Someone at the pier recommended us to check it out. For my surprise they had a full vegan and vegetarian 6 course menu. Perfect to make company for my husband who loves eating sea food
