Sold out at 4pm on Saturday😭 - Edit
I was gutted as we had walked 30 minutes to get there only to find they had sold out. The staff were super apologetic and said they try to estimate how much to bake so they don’t have wastage. As it was pouring in the morning they made less but then the sun came out. Bad luck for me. The Jasmine latte was really great with pea milk. My partner was impressed saying he would get that next time. His decaf pea latte was really strong and not our favourite. Their pea and oat milks are not the healthiest with dodgy additives according to Yuka.

Tasty Cookies - Edit
Arrived late in the day and was only able to buy a few cookies. Nevertheless they were fresh and nicely textured. Very good.

Best! - Edit
Thanks to my dear friend, Sakura, we were able to have some nice treat for ourselves. The pastry sizes were much bigger than ones in Japan, which was nice.

Worth The Walk - Edit
Great range of plant based pastries and drinks. We visited both branches whilst in Amsterdam. Both quite a walk, but it was worth it. This is the better one if you want to sit down and relax.

Quite a small place, good service.
Read moreI shared the Palestinian pastry and the matcha cookie with my partner.
The Palestinian pastry was super gooddd!!! It was nice and savoury.
Spices were really yummy!
Pastry was nice and crunchy and not too burnt as well.
The matcha cookie was SOOO good. It was more on the bitter side but thats how I like my matcha cookies haha. My friends didn't like it as much.
Would come here again to try other stuff.

Delicious pastries - Edit
The raspberry cheesecake pastry was sooo good!! Really tasty, flaky, delicious cream and raspberry jam. I also liked the matcha cookie but found it a bit too powdery. They also do savoury pastries. Very nice bakery

Another level - Edit
Beautiful bakery, both aesthetically as well as taste. We shared a savour and sweet pastry. We also had a Mango Matcha and Strawberry one. Mango was a little nicer. The strawberry one was a little bitter. Pastry’s were amazing. Highly recommend. They also had toilet facilities. Dog friendly.

Oh Amsterdam, why do you do to me this? Totally heaven for pastry lovers. 🥹 I've tried cheesecake, focaccia and wurst in croisant-style dough. Everything was amazing, I need to come back someday!

Margo’s - Edit
Pure excellence! I can’t fault a single thing here. The double baked chocolate pastry was very good, though there was actually too much chocolate inside for me personally. The pistachio danish was to die for. I’m definitely coming back several times before I leave!

Best pastry ever! - Edit
We went to Margo’s to pick up a small bit of lunch, doesn’t seem like this location does the focaccia sandwiches like the description here suggests… but they do have savory options! We enjoyed the pepperoni focaccia and then had the rose pistachio danish which was honestly incredible- best vegan pastry I’ve ever had and my non-vegan mum said it was amazing regardless of whether it was vegan or not. Highly recommended spot!

My new favorite - Edit
I have tried few items and I loved each one of them. As a test for myself I also tried to put pastries in the freezer to have them for the following days and even after being defrosted, they were still perfect! Highly recommend place. I also find the price is super honest for what you get and pastries are quite big!

Best pastries anywhere that happen to be vegan - Edit
I haven’t been back to Amsterdam in a couple years and could t wait to get to Margo’s. I am staying in the west and their second location is right around the corner in one of my favorite neighborhoods. I am a vegan chef and consultant, have travelled all over, and their creations are hands down the best I have tried. The staff is always incredibly lovely and helpful. Happy 4th anniversary to this incredible place and to Margo and her staff for working so hard to make vegan food stand out and shine. They offer both savory and sweet. Go go go!

I cannot articulate or write how incredible everything was that we had here.

Don’t get me started on the focaccia bread… it was also mouthwatering and perfectly soft.

We went here twice for pastries, both times around 2pm, and surprised to see they were almost sold out by that time (it's a peak moment for some pastries, right?).

Very friendly staff. The interior is not our style though. Very sober/modern. Bench on the side with some mini side tables. Not comfy/ cosy at all.

Lovely pastries, come early! - Edit
I'm a fan of this location, as their original one feels a bit cramped. That being said, I wouldn't say it's a cozy place to chill (but I think that's the vibe they want). I mostly always take the pastries to go and eat them at the nearby park or while exploring the neighborhood.
Read moreThe sizes are huge, the flavors are on point, and they have a wide variety of flavors (unlike St Jean). I'd suggest to come earlier in the day, as the options decrease the later you come.
Their jasmine tahini latte is AMAZING! I'm also happy that they have more than just oat milk for coffee!
Pros: huge sizes, amazing flavors, more than just oat milk!
Cons: not a cozy place to chill

Staff casually eating her croissant while customers are waiting outside - Edit
It was freezing cold outside and at 9:05 am they finally opened when their normal opening time is 9:00 am. I wouldn’t have bothered if this was justified (technical issue or whatever), but one of the staff ladies was peacefully eating a croissant inside right in front of us. I mean, I though this was a joke. I worked for 2 years as a salesperson in a bakery and if I had done that I’d probably been fired instantly. The latte with pea milk was pointless since that beverage only has 2.5% pea inside so it’s basically water with a bit of pea protein. So disappointed by the experience since I had tried their other location and had loved their stuff.
